Purely out of curiosity, did you edit the quote into the post or something, as it never flagged in my notifications.
Whilst ****ing over local businesses. I'd rather the club did the honourable thing and ****ed itself over instead of everyone else.
Right now I know you are on the wind up I don't think you believe a word you write and get some sort of joy out of causing an argument. The irony is just too good to be true.
From what I believe there were parties waiting for this to happen but wouldn't come in for the club before administration as it just wasn't feasible from a business point of view
This is something I've never been able to get my head round. We were told we had no assets and were on the verge of liquidation; but surely liquidation is more viable with assets than without. Administration could still have led to liquidation, but surely putting us in administration would have happened first to try and find a mutually agreeable solution with the creditors. Surely most, including playing staff, such as Bullard, would have agreed a payment plan rather than get nothing. They would never have weakened their bargaining position by admitting that in advance, though would they? It certainly wouldn't have been in their interest to go nuclear. We had a playing squad, parachute payments and a cut of the 2010/11 pie, plus an extremely limited guaranteed League One income for the following year. As long as we completed the season, there were resources. If you liquidise nothing, that's exactly what you'll get.
James Hoggarth @jameshoggarth Owners of @northferribyutd say they "offered 100% of the shares in the club to the directors in the form of a gift" - offer was declined
BBC Humberside Sport @HumbersideSport The owners of North Ferriby United say they're "exploring all options to enable the club to operate within its means...no firm decisions 1/2 BBC Humberside Sport @HumbersideSport 2/2 ...have been taken on any, nor has there been any official communication with the FA on these matters." #nfufc
North Ferriby Utd Ltd - 55% owned by Allam's daughter and 45% by the son-in-law For those arguing that there is no connection between NFU and City. It also confirms AA doesn't quite trust his son-in-law. Strangely, I've seen their name recorded as both Foster and Forster. Any one know for sure which one it is ?
I think the lesson from this and some other events is, if it's out on social media, check and check again, because even if there's some truth in it it's possibly not very accurate. Once people latch on to a train of thought, it's very difficult for many to see they may not have been right, so they try and justify their stance in other ways. All it does is feed a frenzy.
The players themselves were tweeting it and saying they'd just been told. It's not exactly rumours is it? Since then, they've suddenly had to backtrack and issue humiliating apologies. A bit like when the Blackpool fan had to issue an apology to Oyston. Seems apparent that they've had phone calls and been reminded of how powerful the family's is with their expensive lawyers etc and been forced to backtrack. I doubt they just suddenly realised they'd badly misunderstood what they were told the previous day.
Or maybe what they were told was either miscontrued or didn't come from the horses mouth, and they've spouted off wrongly. Suggesting that they've been leant on is without foundation, and in any case, there could only be an issue with libel if what they said was wrong, and the retractions combined with the club statement would suggest that it is.
Allam always says he saved Hull City from oblivion. Of course there will always be a professional football club in a place of this size, but somehow he persuades himself against that.
The one tweet that Nathan Peat hasn't deleted, is the one that says 'the Allam's are a bunch of pricks'.
I think you're just confirming what I put. The situation Nathan Peat tweeted that started the frenzy seems to be his misunderstanding of what was being said. To assume solicitors etc, is just guesswork, especially as the Club statement was out before the second set of tweets correcting himself.
You should tell that one to your mates down the pub. Then you might think twice about attempting comedy again.
