Pass success: Mignolet 61%, De Gea 64%

Hardly #epic and certainly less than infinite

De Gea plays 50% more long balls so "success" only requires it to bounce off Fellaini then the second ball doesn't matter to De Gea

BTW Mignolet also wins twice as many aerial duels as De Gea, just to preempt any "flap" accusations

methinks the stats doth lie.... the evidence of my eyes says mingolet once he gets it takes 30 seconds to let it go and when he kicks long he's rarely within 10/15 yards of any lfc play.

If you watch that on a bumpy bus journey would it appear to be completely motionless?

The greedy batard. 6 out of 11 not enough for him. And he whinges (with some justification) about Fabregas not being included. Just a shame his team is so damn boring because of him.

Fabregas PFA snub strange - Mourinho
    Posted at12:14
Mourinho was asked whether there should have been even more than six Chelsea players in the PFA team of the season. "Yes" he answered with no hint of a smile. "It should have been all of them."
Mourinho criticised the selection for featuring too many attacking players and was particularly vexed by the absence of Cesc Fabregas.
"If you look at that team and for example, Cesc Fabregas and the number of assists he has this season, it is strange that he is not included," he said.

Some harsh comments on De Gea.

Clean sheets along with assists are a misleading stat. Migs has a lot of clean sheets but we've still conceded a lot of goals - only 4 less than this time last season - so it's not a measure of a keepers ability.

De Gea has won United a lot of points and is a strong reason why they are in the top 4. His impact on his team has been far greater, especially given the defence in front of him is atrocious.

I think it's a shame that defenders and GK's don't get more recognition.

Mignolet has also made important saves for us

Difference is he's helped us get to 5th, when we have the 5th most expensive squad and 5th biggest wage bill

De Gea has helped Man Utd get to 4th, when they have the 1st most expensive squad (which includes £57m spent last season on defenders, but of course they can't be expected to do anything, meanwhile everyone gladly goes on about the £32m spent by Liverpool on defenders) and 1st highest wage bill

And what does CL matter since Man Utd could still lose out on that?

The media have hyped a few good saves by De Gea. End of.

Mignolet also got Liverpool to 2 semi-finals

De Gea shipped 4 to MK Dons and went out of the FA Cup because he was beaten at his near post by a LB and let Welbeck walk around him

Not the PL but still, De Gea is #immune to criticism apparently

Maybe so but winning the 4th place trophy is much more in some eyes than a couple of semis

One would say the manc said have a hard on for 4th

All we can manage us a semi

What a complete ****ing embarrassment of a post that is.

You're that bitter that you can't concede the simple fact that De Gea is a great keeper and way better than the flapper that is Mignolet

Not saying that Migs hasn't been good this season (disregarding the first half).

My point was that De Gea's contribution to his team's success (looks like top 4 is secure) is just as valuable as Hazard's goals/assists. I want to see defenders and keepers being recognised a lot more.
