I know; but what does that change? Ferriby, it's players and staff are now in a very poor state and it is all down to the mismanagement of the owners. If someone can show me that none of this, not even the slightest hint, was not evident from the beginning then I will be interested to see their reasoning.

This is all about money, power and manipulation for a bigger goal; problem is, the whole project has got out of hand. The Allam's are now in damage limitation mode.

If it wasn't for the Allams loan, we'd have been playing North Ferriby

No, at worst we'd be in League 1 by now.

We were close to administration, not liquidation. There's a difference. In fact, even with a ten point deduction, we'd still have survived comfortably.

So I've just read a comment on Facebook from someone connected to Ferriby who states that unofficially Allam has pulled the money due to him not getting enough recognition from the cup win

Players still under contract & comments were a breach of contract & he could have faced punishment without retraction

    Is that correct?

I've never been sure myself, but there's still a lot saying that as there were no assets, administration wasn't an option, we'd go almost directly to liquidation. I think I'm right in saying that was Adam Pearson's take on it too.

It was tongue in cheek comment in response to someone else who had come out with some unsubstantiated rubbish ending with the it is only rumours cop out, which negates the whole thing.
The whole situation is uncannily like what happened at Bridlington Town after a Wembley win with an owner who couldn't get his own way with the council over the ground. He ended up in jail so let's hope the similarities continue.:1980_boogie_down:

That is spot on. It's ironic the people who deny that tho, as they're trying to rewrite history and delete an important element of our clubs history.

But it wasn't just one player that made the comments......I'm pretty sure they will have been told to keep their thoughts private

I'm not sure, I've seen convincing arguments both ways, but I don't know enough about these things to know which is correct.

As Portsmouth showed administration is always an option. The threat of liquidation was a useful to Bartlett in his negotiations with Assem Allam. I doubt if Assem Allam had pulled out Bartlett would have gone through with it. He'd have lost the parachute payments and all his personal guarantees would have been called in. Liquidation of City would have personally cost Bartlett millions.

Anyone trying to defend what has happened at Ferriby in any way, shape or form is a proper dick.

It's indefensible, it's shoddy and its downright disgraceful.

I wish Allam and his clan of egotistical arse wipes would just **** off.

    Thank you.

Nobody knows what would have happened if the Allam's hadn't bought the club, as it didn't happen.

On paper there was a large debt and very little in the way of assets, but as Obi says, that doesn't necessarily mean you can't still come to an arrangement for administration. If the club had gone into administration, it's likely there would be more interested parties, I suspect the opportunity to buy the club for 10p in the pound would have been attractive to a fair few.
