Now don't get me wrong - I was at Palace and, like 99.9% of fans, had a great day watching a great performance and result. BUT the day was spoilt by a handful of morons - probably inebriated (although that is supposition, not necessarily) fact) who decided to charge down the steps after we scored our first goal. In doing so, they managed to force the lass next to me into the front barrier such that she badly damaged her knee which required medical treatment. At least 4 of these Morons were also amongst those responsible for holding the banner after 19 minutes - with their backs to the game whilst we had two corners which they were totally oblivious to. The Club do not need so called "Supporters" like this who are more intent on getting themselves on TV rather than supporting the team. By all means protest before the game, or at Half Time or after the final whistle - but pleased don't ever interrupt the game again simply for your own gratification. And whilst I'm on a rant, who were the Morons amongst the Hull fans who couldn't manage to keep quiet during the 1 minutes silence before the game? Shameful!
Sorry to hear about the lass who got hurt but regarding the protesters, don't be a ****. Allam's a toxic bastard who needs to be out this club asap. If you still ignore all he's done and pretend everyone else has got it wrong that's your problem. The protests are long overdue and need to happen.
Very unfair post by Irememberwaggy. You could say the players rushing over to the fans caused fans to also run down to greet them and celebrate the goal .. Those who held the Allam out banners also got behind the team all the game and started chants off in support of the team what had nothing to do with AA. I wish more fans got behind the team as much as those people did
I was also at the game and right next to the aisle they all charged down, I was too busy celebrating to notice really but it is a shame anyone got hurt I am sure they didn't mean harm. The noise during the silence I thought came from some on the concourse rather than in the stand, not very good either way really. However I thought the fans really got behind the team yesterday and just hope we do he same on Tuesday night.
It's unfair to criticise people in the bar/toilets/under the stand who presumably didn't know there was a minute's silence or that it had started. Unless you're saying there was a PA announcement it all parts under the stand which was ignored which wasn't my impression. No-one is going to wilfully going to ignore a minutes' silence for the Bradford fire victims. In many ways your post is more offensive in seeking to join two unrelated issues. And all the Allam Out issues have been caused by the Allams.
Clearly that woman should have remained in her seat. Doesn't she know you're not allowed to stand at football matches - especially being an Hull fan at away games. Obviously I'm joking and hope the woman in question is ok. However Irememberwaggy, lighten up. We've just had an important win and the Allam thing was caused by the Allams.
I raised this at one of the first FWG meetings, after the same thing had happened at the KC, the said they announce it on the concourses from now on(I can't understand why it hadn't occurred to anyone already).
I see that Bradford Park Avenue were not happy with Ferriby for not observing the silence yesterday. Ferriby said it was the ref who ignored it.
Presumably you feel the club needs supporters who remain seated, meekly doing as the stewards tell them in contrast to other clubs whose fans are all stood up getting behind the team? How did they force this lass into the barrier by rushing down the aisle unless she was in the aisle herself? Incidentally, why do you refer to our club as Hull when no proper fan refers to them by that name?
If it was people in the Concourse making the noise then OK, there's no blame attached there - but what are they doing in the concourse when the match is about to start? With respect to those who complain that I am having a go at fans for celebrating - I am most certainly not. About 1,490 fans all celebrated vigorously & sensibly by standing and cheering - it was only a Moronic 20 or so who charged down the stairs and caused the dangerous situation, of which at least 4 were amongst those preening with their protest trying to get on TV & ignoring the game that was going on at the time with Hull having two corners.
Because she was on the end of Row 1. I refer to the club that I have supported since the early 1960's as Hull in order to try and avoid any of the name change controversy contaminating this thread as it is not about that.
So you go out of your way to use an ambiguous name specifically to avoid using the word City because Allam doesn't like it. Another ATWD.
On the day of a great win the thread was just not needed! Can you imagine another clubs fan complaining like this?
The stupid 'Hull Tigers' official Facebook page put up a video of Hull fans celebrating, at the end there is a big 'Allam Out' banner displayed, made me smile. Hope this lass isn't too badly hurt but emotions are always going to be high for the fans in a situation like this
