No, it’s Giorgio Chiellini. please log in to view this image "> View image | gettyimages.com According to the Daily Mail, Queens Park Rangers are set to lose Steven Caulker, Rio Ferdinand, Richard Dunne and Nedum Onuoha in the summer. The R's are likely to make wholesale changes to their squad, regardless of what division they are in next season, and it seems that their defensive line-up could be much changed next term. Ferdinand is due to retire at the end of the season, while the R's are said to be reluctantly resigned to parting ways with Caulker, Dunne and Onuoha in the coming months. Caulker, Dunne and Onuoha have all had decent seasons, despite QPR's struggles this term, and it would be a blow for the club to lose them. The calibre of the replacements QPR can attract is likely to be defined by what league they are in, with the side still fighting for survival. If Chris Ramsey can guide the London outfit to safety then they will have the funds to spend on the team, but a relegation could mean that there are more departures than additions at Loftus Road in the coming months.
Why would Onuoha leave? I doubt if he would be in big demand, certainly not by Premiership clubs. Good player at Championship level. Indifferent about Caulker as to whether he goes or stays.
Would anyone notice if our defence just disappeared? I'd be surprised if this has any truth but Clint Hill will be gearing himself up for another thankless slog if it is.
From a very minor 'ITK', I am led to believe that if we are relegated then no big money, play the kids and see what happens. This message about the defenders does fit in with that.
Lol, this and I was going to say good, we can buy some new ones that are not so knackered until I read RTID's post. Does this mean we will have to get the collection buckets out at the gates again to raise some £'s for new ones. I hope not anyway.
Referring to the other thread - sign up Jude Hill. The Hills have an average age of 18 or 19 and enough commitment to make up for the fact of there being only two of them.
Good and at that age they most defiantly are not over the hill. I would now be heading straight to my usual place the cloakroom but it's too hot today for coats.
Rio and Dunne I'm not too bothered about. Rio has been pathetic this season, and while Dunne has given his all and produced some decent performances, he's too old, too slow and too clumsy for the Premier League. I've been disappointed with Caulker so far, but he's still young and can improve. Onuoha has pace and strength, but needs to stop giving the ball away. I'd like to see us keep Caulker and Onuoha.
Caulker and Ferdinand won't be missed. If we're in the Championship next season, then I'd be happy if we kept Ned and Dunne.
Losing 4 could be fairly catastrophic as it is we only have one full back so if this did happen we'd be needing at least 6 to bring in & how much time would they need to gel?
Daily Mail Do people get paid for writing such pony? SWP refuses to sign a new contract at Loftus Road An official source has said to a friend down the rub-a that SWP is not happy with how he is being used by Chris Ramsey. He could get in most Premier League teams, but has "just not been given a chance by Ramsey." His father thinks it is because he is black, although it is unsure whether he meant his talented step-son or the inexperienced manager. Ramsey has made it quite clear that SWP is ****ing useless, but he makes a nice cup of tea. Totallyqpr (independent ****-writer) Anyone want to buy this?
We will lose Isla as well as our dynamic back 4 (Dunne and Rio, and sell Caulker...but do not think we will sell Ned, that really does not make any sort of sense) So we should still have Hill (should have at least a couple more seasons if not 10, he is still only 37 you know) Yun Furlong Robinson (injured till Sept) Donaldson Traore Ned (I do hope, cannot see why we would sell him, who would buy him)...future Club Captain And the other kids:- Sendles-White; Ehmer, Kpewka who was at Portsmouth In no way is that strong enough even to put a team out in the Championship....it is the area we need to strengthen, but hey we knew this at the start of THIS season, thank you Arry
