It looks like Palace will be without trio Jordon Mutch, Marouane Chamakh and our old friend Fraizer Campbell.

Diame is still having problems with his knee, it doesn't sound like he'll start tomorrow.

Harper will retain his position in goal(unsurprisingly).

    Curtis is still injured.

Robertson injured his ankle in training yesterday, so he's also out.

Not easy to predict the team for this one, I'm not sure Bruce will risk starting both Diame and Ramirez and **** knows what he'll do with the defence. My best guess...

    ------------Harper
    -----Chester Dawson McShane
    Elmo---------------------------Robertson
    ----Livermore Huddlestone Diame
    -------------Aluko
    ---------------N'Doye

It might not be easy to predict the team but predicting city's approach shouldn't be too hard

I imagine with Bolasie, Zaha and Puncheon playing he'll go with a back four.

    Harper
    Elmo Chester Dawson Rosenior
    Livermore Huddlestone Diame Brady
    Aluko N'Doye

    Nope.

(I know this team is just a bit of Hat tomfoolery, but he still has to leave out suspended players.)

If we go 4-4-2, it should be with the players in the right positions, a right back at left back(when we've got two fit left-backs) and a central midfielder on the right wing would be utterly ridiculous. Which is why it might be what happens. <doh>

I'm just imagining what he may play. I just don't see him playing Robertson or Brady as a left back in a 442 against such tricky wingers. He has played Rosy there previously, because he has more nouse in terms of defending.

I guess he could play Chester as a right back (with Macca replacing him in central defence) and Elmo as the right winger, but that would mean leaving out one of Huddlestone or Livermore (as Diame is probably a certain starter). And I don't see him dropping Huddlestone or Livermore in all honesty.

If were going to go for it then we need to play a high tempo type of game, we just don't seem to get that when Huddlestone plays, just not his game, hope SB think the same, although I'm not holding my breath.

In a 4-4-2 Brady can play left back he didn't let Sterling touch the ball at Anfield.
I think like OLM says we can't keep playing players out of position we have enough fit players to pick a side where we have round pegs in round holes!

I think what ever team we play the defence will hold deep to not allow their forwards the space to use the pace they have, hopefully don't care which eleven it is just go there and win

I don't think Diame is a certain starter - he has looked woefully unfit since his return (not surprisingly) & Ramirez to start would be a better bet.

Talking to a Palace fan they play far better away from home when counter attacking at pace, in particular Sunderland recently.
They struggle at home when they are expected to attack the opposition.
If we go gung-ho, they will pick us off especially as we lack pace at the back with Junior Dawson and Macca all relatively slow.
I agree Thudd is also very slow. I don't know why we don't use Chester as a defensive midfielder as he has pace and is lacking a bit of height for a CB.
As they will only have Murray up top on his own why do we need 3 CB's ?
We need to man mark Bolaise and Zaha out wide and Puncheon in the middle like WBA did last week.
I hope Brucie was at that game and took notice or was he on holiday again in mid season

I think he was too busy masturbating over the idea of a corroborated team sheet with Phil Brown and Iain Dowie.

    Quinn
    Livermore Aluko Ramirez Brady N'Doye
    Robertson Harper Dawson
    Bruce Elmo

Fat Steve would ****ing love that.
