    I am talking about experience<ok>

Milner is quality. He is like Barry, until you understand what he gives a club.....you wont appreciate him.

Apart from Barry has been terrible this season for you guys. He was great the season before but like Gerrard, stick a man near him and cause he's old and slow now he will lose his composure.

Markovic fine although not as hard working as a milner or henderson, works hard enough though plus hes a winger.

Milner will improve that Everton team though so of course you'd be happy. Milner would improve the Liverpool squad, and the way Liverpool (or should play) i'm not sure Milner would fit into the 11.

He has been terrible in patches, like Henderson and Gerrard, Allen and Lallana.

But to just say stick a man on him and he is slow/flustered is tosh. If you know anything about the player then you would know his game is not and never has been built on pace<ok>

Stick a man on him, he sits in front of the back four and normally picks players up. Would be a good use o a player to stop his breaks from deep<laugh>

    Nope.

BTW how much are Everton going to spend this summer to stand still?

£6m on Lennon and draw a line under it all?

    You wish.

McCarthy's done **** all. Has Besic played a single game he didn't get booked in?

Your squad is looking pure **** right now. Most of it should be dumped except it won't because you can't afford to.

Aside from hoping other teams get worse, where you you honestly see next season's improvement coming from?

Sorry let me expand upon this.

Barrys game has never been built on pace although he was certainly never "quick", he still had enough pace to drive past players in the past ala Lampard. Before he moved to City he was similar to Milner, just a good all round solid player with a bit more craft that Milner but less athleticism

Barrys more recent game for City and Everton has been to distribute the ball from the back (dropping in so the split Cbs could pass to him if needed) as well as take up intelligent positions to shield the back 4 and intercept the ball.

Last season Barry did this brilliantly. This season, maybe its the high line Everton had or maybe he's getting a bit slower and less athletic, but he seems slow to cut out the danger and like Gerrard, he hasn't been as composed on the ball as his usual self when he's been pressed (maybe the options aren't their but in the past maybe he would dribble it out into space which he cant now that he's got older which is also where Gerrard struggles, being able to get away from players). Maybe Martinez has left Barry and Mcarthy too exposed (Baines and Coleman play like wingers) so this year Barry hasn't been as effective. Anyway all i can say is Barry was a big part of your giant slump mid season and your not so quick start. Europa obviously also has had an effect.

Granted i haven't seen you guys play much this season and i haven't seen you play since you have had an uplift in form, but let me know if what i have said is untrue and whether Barry has had a terrible season. Maybe terrible is too harsh, maybe i should put average season.

Its pretty bad, Mccarthy and Allen are both not world beaters. If one is better than the other its only marginally and its a sad indictment that both went for mid 10's of millions of pounds. If i had to pick though Mccarthy over Allen.

Besic is probably around the same bracket as the other 2 but he was cheap so i guess that makes it alright.

How is joe doing since his big name tag from B'Rod.

    Loads of goals and assists?

    Barry burst past players<laugh>

His game, like Carrick has never been built on pace. The split CB was a thing we did last year. But both FB have sat deeper this year in a change to the system. Like you said, you don't watch us much

I guess that is a question I could put to you.

Who will buy the dross you need out to afford to stay within the restrictions FSG have placed due to FFP.

You will be stuck with players on good money not wanting to leave and others like Sterling desperate to go.

Suarez was the glue holding it together and it could be manager search time soon for John Henry as Rodgers is regressing<laugh>

    Welsh Xavi

He and the other midfield pretenders were undone by Delph......form Villa.

So he will be next for Rodgers to bring in

If he hadn't just signed a new contract, that would be a very realistic possibility given how much we were linked with him before. He's probably priced himself out of the move now though.

That said, given our transfer dealings...

Who's going to be beating a path to your door? and with the Shermans concious of FFP and no CL, you won't be spending more than you can afford this summer either.

We'll have to out perform our budget same as we've had to for over a decade, you by contrast will no doubt continue to piss away money on kelt, only this year the well might run dry.

Lol you joker, i'm not saying he used his dribbling skills like a ronaldo and a lennon to burst pass, but he had the ability to go past a midfielder if the midfielder pressed too tight like what fat frank used to do. he had the acceleration and composure to get away from someone closing down if the pass wasn't on.

Anyway, so you agree with what i've said about Barry and his style now then? distribute the ball by dropping deep to collect and take up clever positions to intercept? and we also agree on Barry having an average season? :emoticon-0150-hands

Right now i just need to convince you Milner is a solid player and not a special one. The fact he can't even make this terrible England midfield says it all really (not that Hodgson is a good barometer but even Capello before him)

Honest question: would you take 50 points next season if offered right now?
