Surely, Mr Henderson’s TAYLOR, what a lovely name for a mare by the way, will finally get off the mark over timber...won’t she?!? I doubt she will have to be that swift of the morrow to oblige whilst I don’t think it will be too tough for her to shake off her sole rival.

Sporting Life are forecasting 1/33 re Taylor at Exeter (4.05).

    Hello all,

I fancy a few today, my thoughts are below:

    300 Exeter
    Kyles Faith 5/4

Short priced favourite but with good reason. This horse's last run was in a 1-120 chase and he finished a brave 2nd and now drops into a 0-100 and with Johnson booked I cant see this one being beat.

    200 Exeter
    Party Palace 9/2

Won last time out and has gone up 5 lbs for that win but I still feel this one could be ahead of the handicapper and add to the equation that alot of the other runners are handicapped to their best this is an E/W bet to nothing

    220 Kempton
    Picansort NAP 11/2

Drops into a 0-75 for the first time and this is the grade that Picanosrt operates well at. Kelly booked with the blinkers replacing the visor, im expecting a very big run.

    355 Kempton
    Embankment 12/1

Has ran solid races for the lst 2 but they came in a 0-85 and a 0-75 and now its gone into a 0-70 I have a feeling this one could be in for an Attwater gamble as he has the right race and although alot of these have been winning I just think he could be a cut above?

    455 Kempton
    Argot 9/2

Runner up on his last 3 starts, This one is one thats Longsdon rates and im sure once we get the proper summer ground he will run a sequence up but in the meantime they a dropping him into the lowest grade he has contested on the flat and im willing to take the chance at 9/2.

Wickhambrook 6/4 looks like he's already home and hosed in my eyes in the 2nd last at Wolves. Shane Kelly got a 8 day ban for what was a disgraceful ride on this last time. Finished full of running in 3rd on stable debut for Mike Murphy and 4lb rise shouldn't stop him from going in.

What would you have said out of interest?
Its a leap of faith. Lets face it, its a really weak race other than the favourite. It was reopened despite not having bad prize money. If he's back to the form he was in before Christmas and stays then he would win this no worries. Given how poorly he's run the thought was to step him up to 3m so that he can cruise and not be outpaced. New apprentices first ride for the yard.
Hopefully he stays but be interested to see what people think.
He's not raced for a while so might be a bit fresh and keen which would be a worry as he's tended to do that.
I think his bad back might be hindering him but hope i'm wrong. At 12s he's worth a sporting ew bet and maybe the forecast with the fave. If it makes a difference I'm not going so watch him win!! Would be just my luck to have 2 winners in 8 days and not be at either!!!

Completely agree if u look at what he's been running in ( terrible winter ground ) and against some decent horses this race will seem a lot easier for him and he might just start enjoying it again. He is without doubt a better horse than any of these BUT the back is a worry and I he pulls up or finishes tailed off in this u should get on the phone to Charlie demanding that they give the boy a lengthy rest as he's too good a horse to mess around!!!

He will be on his summer hols after this race unless he hoses up on the bridle, you're right tho should bring him back in later if he flops again to give him some extra time off.
Its the top weight which ive been more annoyed about as a young horse lugging top weight every race wouldn't be my choice but in fairness its been hard to find races for him. Ive been desperate for him to step up in trip so excited to see how he goes.
Cheers mate and I really really hope you're right! Most importantly he come back safe and sound.

Re Harry, I would only be tempted to back him in running. He properly spat the dummy out last time and looked a horse that had had enough hard races for the season. That wasn't him as we have seen what a battler he is in the past. If he steps off racing with a bit of zest then climb on board!
Re Embankment, will undoubtedly miss the break and is another back in running job as when he breaks five lengths behind you will no doubt get a better price. Will almost certainly come with a real rattle at the death but will the line come too soon?

Good point, although even with his toys out of the pram he would be able to get back to them over 3m where as Schofield knew he couldn't get back to them over a trip which was too sharpe anyway so wasn't hard on him at all.

Yes mate as long as he comes back safe we'll all be happy and if he grabs a bit of cheeky prize money along the way who are we to moan :)!! I'm hoping they just kick him out and say catch me as if he is in the mood they won't see which way he went! Stick, embankment is one that the more I look at it the more I like it. He does fallout of the gates and in the better grade he has been running in u don't get Away with it but in the dross I think he will .

Yeah, I don't want us to ride him to make sure he gets the trip, ride him like we know he gets the trip and find out properly. Big ask tho for a new apprentice to get the pace right if he is to try and front run. Hes also been very keen previously. As stick says lets hope he jumps off first them take it from there!!

Embankment has been a frustrating sort alright, I agree with the backing in running and also with Boil that he may well be to good, always seems to be flying home too late after missed poor starts. Is there anything lurking in the race on a nice weight? Gonna have a gloss over it now but I like Embankment and will put a few quid on.

Harristown has dropped to 128 also I see. He's had a tough few races but hopefully the step up will see him in a better light.

Inside formline here for you mate. Squire sometimes works with Embankment, feeling is that Squire has a few pounds on him. Squire and Double Czech were separated by a short head at Windsor last Monday off pretty much level weights. Embankment gives Double Czech 3lbs tomorrow! I know where my money would be.
