Ristac you need to be thankful that Cellino never got his hands on ER would have been a terrible mistake he can damage the squad and the whole set up but at least he cant turn ER into a spaghetti factory

Silvestri along with striker Mirco Antenucci and the quartet caused controversy when they claimed they were unfit to play at Charlton on Saturday. Silvestri's dad, Claudio, claims his son and Antenucci had genuine knocks, but questioned the injuries of the other four. He said on Facebook: "[Marco] does not know if he can train this week. please log in to view this image Faker? Silvestri's dad doesn't believe that Giuseppe Bellusci is really injured "[He] is really sorry the fans have become suspicious, he tried to explain, but I'm not sure they understood. "He is furious with those people because he took the whole season to make his name through the fans and now he is risking to spoil the relationship with them and with the environment," he said. Leeds last night released a statement, claiming they had to believe the six were injured. "Every member of the Leeds United squad receives first-class treatment from the club's head physio and his team at Thorp Arch," said the club in a statement. "It was the medical team's view from Thursday onwards that some first-team players would struggle to be fit for Saturday's game at Charlton. "It was declared that the six players were unavailable to travel to London on Friday, the club needs to protect its assets. "The club completely stands by the internal medical recommendations that it receives."
Ex-Leeds United captain blasts the six players who withdrew from squad Ex-Leeds United captain Trevor Cherry has blasted the six Whites players who dropped out of the club’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Charlton on Saturday. please log in to view this image Redfearn was without six of his main players Neil Redfearn’s side were defeated 2-1 at The Valley on Saturday, subsequently condemning the Yorkshire club to their fifth consecutive league defeat. Speaking to Radio Five Live’s Sportsweek, former Leeds United captain Trevor Cherry said: ‘I would sack them and take the PFA (Professional Footballers’ Association) on,’ ‘I don’t think players can do that, it’s scandalous and it’s just another story for Leeds United that is disgraceful. He added: ‘I don’t know exactly the players and it might be one or two of them have got a good excuse, but it sounds too stupid to be true.’ Leeds United went 1-0 up in the 40th minute courtesy of a goal from former Millwall striker Steve Morison, however were pegged back in the 75th minute when Tony Watt scored an equaliser – a Yoni Buyens penalty in the 80th minute earned the three points for Guy Luzon’s men.
I rememeber watching T.Cherry as a player, fair play to him... Morning all, just opened my first cider of the day. LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS
Genuine question for any Accounts minded people out there. I picked up on another thread that owners (certainly ours) never actually pay club debts off, they loan money to the club and charge interest - burdening LUFC with ever increasing debt. What is the benefit of doing this? If you own an asset and lend it money to make profit on the interest, it is your own asset you are devaluing (if anybody wants to buy the club, that debt will be factored in to the price). Is it for tax reasons or are we just unlucky enough to forever be owned by to$$ers?
I think your last sentence sums the club up. As someone who only got an E in my leaving exams I ain't got a clue regarding accounts.
Thank you Shako your input has been invaluable Gotta run now but will be interested to see what else is said later on the I-pad thingy
Agreed shaks. At last someone with the guts to call the strike what it was, a ****ing disgrace and embarassment to any club. Guess what, theyll still get paid this week, thats the real joke
One reason is if the club goes in admin any money put in as capital will not be returned but a loan will go with other creditors and you might get back x in the pound. Another reason particularly in leeds case is if there is a minority shareholder(gfh) then you are not going to pump capital in if the other shareholders are not going to match it in percentage terms. Also a company may not be able to get a loan elsewhere at a reasonable interest rate so the owner may lend but doesn't want to invest anymore of his own money in capital. There may be tax reasons too depending on the personal circumstances of the owners
Cellino wants to know " what is this tax thingy you guys are talking about?" He ain't ever heard the term before...
Gombawn is correct, and this method of putting funds in is also the easiest way to screw money out of the club. Classic case in point is haigh, a guy who was earning a few quid for GFH but all of a sudden he has £3m he loans the club, and probably why GFH have him tucked up in an arab jail for over a year so far. He also got Flowers to loan the club cash too on the pretext of buying the club. Then there's the biggest football con in history when Bates took us into administration for the 2nd time, and just before the club was sold to a bidder, FSF mentioned that they were owed £19m that they loaned to the club and the administrators hadn't noticed this!!! FSF said they would forget the cash if Bates could stay on as CEO. What a rip-off, who gives away £19m unless they see a way of scamming out more
Your sincerity shows. I mean that too! Did you pop down and see that huge cruise ship the over the weekend.
