I just wondered where the 50% figure came from as it seemed a nice round figure. I am well aware that more rapes go unreported than reported and this is unlikely to change anytime soon, it is very hard for a woman (or man) to admit/talk about to anybody and has the further problem of being very hard to prove despite all the trace evidence that can be gathered.
