Just watching a Paquiao Mayweather preview. Okay, it's five years too late, but I really can't wait for that fight (come on Manny!)
ok, I don't usually big myself up but I stepped on the scales today and I am -60lbs! squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! never thought this day would come! I tried my school jumper on and even that is a little baggy
I've got a Filipino friend and Pacman is an absolute god in his country. I desperately want him to win this one and then retire at the top.
Congrats! When I came back for easter from uni I got my mum on a fitness drive, she lost a stone in the time I was home!
Just finished quite a day's viewing. Practically doubled my TV hours for the week by watching the entire day's events from Argentina in the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP races, then the hour long round-up programme afterwards. Then I watched the races again because they were so good. Brits won the Moto3 [Danny Kent] and got 3rd places in Moto2 [Sam Lowes] and MotoGP [Crutchlow]. The old master Valentino won again [I shall have to dig out that 46] by hunting down Marquez. Then I caught up with Poldark. Sunday's episode was a bit dramatic. I don't remember the 70's version being that firey. Phew. I'm bleeding starving now and no dinner made..!
Not a chance, Mayweather is just too good, he will just sit back, play defensive and outbox him, and because he's the better boxer, he will win, comfortably.
I think it's a little more complex than that - Mayweather is comfortably the bigger man, and a good biggie will always beat a good little'un. Unlike when Manny boxed De La Hoya, he's not quite as quick as he once was (though still mind bogglingly fast) or as powerful. That last part will be his undoing. I think he still has the speed to cause Mayweather a lot more problems (it's nigh on impossible to defend against relentless, no matter how good you are), and age is beginning to catch up with Mayweather now too (he's become a little bit easier to hit) but I'm not sure Manny has the devastating power he once had, plus he's got a lot more susceptible to punches due to age himself. I think both at their prime, Manny had a very good chance of taking him out, and might even have been favourite to do so. Now though, I just think age will have diminished his powers more than they have Mayweather's.
Maybe but he's still damn hard to hit! Like you say Manny in his prime may of been different, but I really only see one outcome. To be honest I reckon it will be a bit of a **** fight as well (for the viewer). I know my replies are short but at work so no time to type a lot out!
What was a county player doing playing for a local side? I don't understand cricket's structure, but that seems like having Mane playing for a Tyro league team.
He's never played for the Lancs first team, so I think it's legitimate to be loaned to a lower league club side like Nantwich, in the same way that Turnbull and Stephens are playing for Swindon. I bet he'll get considered now though! I'd love to have seen that, although I feel for the bowlers...
