I didn't understand that one either. By attending you have already accepted the dross, so why boo? Today was all about sending a message by not attending. That's louder than any piss poor booing at the final whistle.

I watched bits of the match and on about 80 minutes was planning a post in my head along the lines of 'that Harry Kane can't be all that good, he can't even score against us' ...<doh>

The totally frustrating part of all of this situation is that everybody apart from the people in control could see this coming. We knew we wouldn't sign anyone in January and we knew what that would mean for the rest of the season. So much of what we are experiencing now I think is not necessarily about losing matches etc but about the fact that we have been proven right.

We are reliant on the teams below us to be even worse than we are <yikes>

I suppose the best boycott would be to wait for the applause and then everyone get up and leave...

We should change the name to Newcastle Disunited, as that what we are on and off the pitch.
Nothing more, nothing less, just a rabble.

A spineless team on the pitch, no heart, as for us the fans - we've become a damp squib inside the ground.
The protest - no disrespect to anyone who was there, but, it was s*** and orchestrated to the point, it was as though it was a photo shoot for self-publicists.
I don't see where this social media led s*** comes from to be honest, no spontaneity or anything.
As for media coverage, outside of the North East, nobody actually gives a f*** about Newcastle United.

Don't give me the s*** that today was a chance to make a difference, it wasn't and never could unless it is sustained and there is some idea at least of an end game that someone can sell to the fans. I'm sorry, but boycotting one game because its on Sky, is just plain crap.

All today proved that was SJP could be an even quieter graveyard than it is often is, and split fans even further.

    DisUnited.

Wonder why Carver refused to answer questions on Jonas absence from squad? Jonas stating he wasn't injured so I suspect Carver has been told not to play him.

    Agree.

One thing you don't do, however, is to harangue people into joining in; you try and persuade.

That's part of the problem, with persuasion seemingly in short supply.
The more crap that's gets spouted from people, I get less inclined to join.
I could easily have been persuaded as it happens.

Another problem is working out what we would be protesting for. I know what we'd be protesting against, but a protest only works if you have an alternative. Part of the problem - and it goes back to the DisUnited post - is that it is easy to get 20,000 people to protest against something but not so easy to get them all to fight FOR the same next step.

After the attention seekers and money grabbers that have haunted our club for the past 70 odd years I want to know who I am protesting for. There are a lot of unknowns and I don't want to spend my time, effort or money taking the club away from one problem to give it to another. The tactics being used at the minute don't fill me with confidence that we'd be getting anybody more reasonable.
