I've no doubt that the majority of people on here would say that he was very disappointing towards the end of his time here. I can't remember any protests when he went back tbh. Monk will ultimately fail imo.
Ki was one of our top performers up until the last few games. Was absolutely class on his day, and would have been a great signing for us. Every player can have a dip in form, that includes top international players. Would love him back here.
He was never 'absolute class' otherwise he'd be playing for a top club, not the likes of 'here today gone tomorrow' Swansea. Last few games ffs, it was much more than that ...... he died a death and became disliked by many people. Just get fckd you knobsack Mag wum ......the way you keep crawling back on here is embarrassing
Ki is a ****ing thorn in United's side mind, always scores against us the bastard. Bri dug out some impressive stats for him a few weeks back but I doubt many top clubs will be considering him as a legitimate target.
fact is he is better than anything we have here atm imo one of the best ,lets the ball do the work ,class
Strange comment. He's far far better than Swansea, I could see that when we had him, no offence. A couple of seasons of maintaining his disciplined and he'll be off playing Champions League football and he'll not look back. He's a cheeky little tyke, sell him while his stock is high because he's the type who'll force his move for free if you hold on to him and let him drift into his last year so you've got a couple of season's to get big money which you should.
I always said sign him. I found the comments not wanting him back bizarre to say the least. He oozes quality, always has. We we quoted ten million for him but Gus chose Rodwell instead.
Yep, he fell out with Gus because he wanted to go home for treatment where he knew he'd get it. But Gus wanted him here to play threw it which he did until the injury became to much to play with. He was scapegoat though, anything to bury our heads from the real problems. Why hasn't he been to a top club? ML froze him out, He came here and played in a **** team. Plus he has patchy background discipline wise which will put big clubs off. Like I said in another post, If he maintains good discipline he'll off to a big club at the end of next season. Possibly this Summer. I think he's better than Swansea and Sunderland put together. Without Ki Swansea wouldn't have had anywhere near the season they've had imo. his 89% passing accuracy from 1500 passes absolutely tramples any player from outside the top five and most of the ones in the top 5 and they have better players around them. But we choose Rodwell which will see a loss instead Ki who eventually sell for round the 20m mark I reckon.
Maybe he was disliked by you, but not by the people I know. The ball stuck to him like clue and he oozed class. To be fair, I never see you give you're opinion on the quality of players, I can now see why. As bri just said , who would you rather, ki or 10 million Rodwell.
superb player who makes the game look easy ,im not one for stats but he must be right up there with his passing and overall play
What we need is a seasoned well known and well respected manager that players will listen to & perform to their best abilities for. We also need the board & backroom staff to support the new manager and not just financially!
We lost a game. It sometimes happens. Happened more often than not for you this season though Monks genius has shined through plenty of times this season a la Utd x 2, Arsenal and Southampton.
Problem with Ki is he gets bullied too often, yeah he's got great stats but I'd imagine half of swansea's side have top stats due to the way they play, let's not forget those type of stats had people talking about Pique as the best centre half in the world at one point. He plays the safe pass all to often just like Joe Allen, there's just no point having that player in your side if you're a top team competing for trophies. Just my opinion of course but I'd be very disappointed if we signed him for any reason other than to boost our following in his native country.
