Does anyone else think that there are some very unfair permutations in the list each year? Only 2 out of last seven games at home for some teams, that cannot be right! If we were in that pack fighting relegation it could have been very tight. The run in during our first season was also bad.

No not really...We all have to play everyone twice and if you dont have enough points at the end knowing well in advance what the run the club has then its the clubs own fault for not getting enough points when they should have....

What is wrong, being away for the first and last games of the season. Southampton and I think Spurs were drawn away for the first and last fixtures.

Our first games have been Man city,Man utd twice......Its what you do throughout the whole season that counts and if you dont perform then you will end up down the bottom fighting for points......At the end of the day we all play the same amount of games....

Not that simple really , it would be unusual not to have a full fit squad to pick for your 1st game as opposed to having injuries and suspensions toward the end of the season, points to win or lose dependant on how professional the players are ,meaning mid table safety and an eye on the holiday or fighting for survival .

So because these bottom teams who are there on merit we should change things and make things easier.....How?? As the Tories say ..."We are all in this together" and its the managers job to make sure the club is not in that position come the end of the season....

If that was aimed at me then that's not what I posted , there are lot more reasons why teams are in positions in the table .

The fixtures are done by a computer the same computer that has been used for years, programmes that are part of the system is to make fixtures fair for all and making sure teams have the shortest travelling during xmas and new year fixtures. It also sorts out any derby matches do not clash with another home clubs fixture. This machine is so advance it will do the best possible fixture list possible for all divisions and that is why sometimes you might think its a fix like us having Man utd first game for the last two seasons but the fact is it was the only way the machine decided was fair.......we may get Man utd first again...it's possible.......In the new year fixture there will be a very high possibility we could play Bournemouth home or away....you have a look when the new fixture list is published and see if im right....

My understanding was that no team could be allocated more than two home or away games in a row when the fixture list is made. Any three-game runs of that nature must therefore be a product of cup runs or TV appearances. That said, two in the last seven meets those rules anyway. At some point it's the luck of the draw for us all.

What ever happened to playing one at home and then one away and the second half of the season being the reverse of the first half. Sounds pretty simple to me.

That is the most difficult scenario to do trunds, you would have games clashing everywhere.....

I think Europa League teams need a major overhaul on their Premier League fixtures after their European game. They should be allowed the same rest period as the Champions League teams.
