Norwich v Ipswich Wembley. Bring it on. The early goal cost us, they are the best defence in the division and it was always going to be difficult at that point. We started nervously, and there game plan was obviously to get an early goal and sit back. In all seriousness, I still have complete faith we'll do it through play offs. Alex Neil's record is still ridiculously good and we have been the best team in this division in the last 20 games. Let's bounce back and keep up the momentum we have!! OTBC
Play-offs guaranteed at least before the match. Middlesbrough's gamesmanship was awful but their defending was superb. We never troubled their keeper which was disappointing. I fear if City don't go up this season, some of the better players will be tempted to go. Then we'll be back into the unknown again.
It ain't over yet. Torpedo amidships tonight, but we're got engines and we are still going forward. Do you think AN is telling the players it's all over , **** no, we came from a long way back and competed and that's what we will do from here on in. OTBC!
Of course not, however I do think we have blown the top two tonight. It is going to take an incredible sequence of results to get it back in our favour now
Ayala, Gibson & Friend were all superb, but having said that, apart from a couple of excellent headers back across goal from Johnson, we never delivered any balls in to really hurt them. So unlike us - but the fat bitch hasn't even cleared her throat just yet
Johnson and Hoolahan for Hooper and Redmond is one of the few decisions AN has made that I simply don't get. Bradley and Wes are THE two players we have had this season who you look to for something from nothing. The truth is what we offered was next to nothing in the second half (maybe Martin's snap shot that I saw having another defender and goalkeeper behind as well as Ayala's sensational block). We don't appear to have the players to break down well drilled defensively minded opponents who sit deep. I put it down to one simple thing - the only player we have who can play a great final ball is Wes, but even he rarely produces from wide. Our lack of high quality delivery from the wings is a glaring weakness.
Hey guys you were not that bad as some of you seem to think. No team at this stage of the season which is in the top four is poor. Boro didn't really fake the injuries any more than you would see in a regular FL game. They certainly parked the bus, but you have not been the first team this season to fail to find a way round it. At least you have had some goals over the season to rejoice in, rather than having to watch a parked public service bus. It is not over. There will be surprises yet. Just hope it is not my lot.
Certainly Wes going off completely threw me off, he was the only one who looked like creating anything to hurt them. Not sure about Bradders as it was not one of his better games although he didn't do anything wrong.
It was a decent performance, excluding the final 1/3 of the pitch. Just wish we could have turned them over as you did not so long ago
Why are you disppointed with Wes being taken off ? What were you expecting from him in the last 10 minutes that he couldn't produce in the first 80 ?
That's not very nice ThaiBudgerigar! I'm thoroughly enjoying watching you vermin stumbling at the final hurdle, squandering the PREM legacy, and coming for a well overdue fall from your overinflated perch
Of course it is not nice - it was aimed at you, troll League two is calling you....next up is back to the Conference. That should bring back some nice memories
I would have thought he would have grown up by now. Just goes to show how much I underestimated just how sad he is
Aww diddums the PAIN is etched across your prose, you didn't really think you lot of despicable swivel eyed loons were really going up this season?! LOLZ
Don't get it ! What are your saying ? That AN shouldn't have brought on Hooper / Redmond or that he should have, but not taken Hoolahan / Johnson off ? Which 2 would you have taken off. Johnson has saved us loads of times this season, but neither him nor Hoolahan looked like they were going to score in the 80 minutes they were on, so I just don't get why anyone would think things were suddenly going to change in the last 10 / 17 minutes. Truth is we suffered tonight form the same thing we have suffered from all season particularly under NA and thats lack of shots on target.
