Inter Milan are putting feelers out it seems

Jovetic(mentioned here) top of the list as well as a cheeky bid for Yaya Toure

England right-back Nathaniel Clyne, 24, is set to leave Southampton for Manchester United in a £17m summer deal. (Daily Express)

Mmm maybe we should have a thread dedicated to Clyne and his potential leaving ... Oh wait!

Who would you replace them with?

Personally I would like 2 rbs to come in For clyne. 1 would be kieren trippier. Fast, young, good at crossing and can do long throw ins which would be dangerous with pelle in the box. After that I would like to see a young promising rb like byram as we don't really seem to have a ready made RB in the academy.

As for Morgan Im not sure we even need to replace him? I would like to see ward Prowse and reed get more game time and if we sign vilhena that will be even more competition at CAM. I wouldn't bee adverse to see us play a diamond with big vic holding and jwp at the top and then use the Morgan money on a prolific striker.

RB - happy with your suggestions but would put Jenkinson from Arsenal/West Ham into the equation. Maybe build into the Snidders deal
    DM - Clasie for me

Oh great, another thread about replacing Clyne with Trippier/Byram and Schneiderlin with Clasie. Just what we needed. I might merge this thread as it isn't really anything new.

schneiderlin is going to be very hard to replace. But we should get the best part of £47m for those two so im sure there are plenty of options

That Kondogbia chap from Monaco might just fit Morgan's shoes. Maybe Gonalons or Tolisso from Olympique Lyon.

As for right back, maybe there's someone in Holland, from Ajax, PSV?

If Morgan and Clyne go let's hope it is to someone classy like Barcelona and not rubbish like Manchester United or Chelsea!!

Avoiding the obvious "Trippier and Clasie" talk (both I which I hope will happen), how about Sven Van Beek as a replacement for Toby? Obviously the main goal should be to sign Toby as he's been phenomenal, but that depends on Atleti, and both Van Beek and Kongolo have really impressed me this season. I rate Van Beek more highly than De Vrij, who most were desperate to sign last summer.

We have been linked to Van Beek for a few months now. Kongolo seems to be a Lovren ( all his mistakes end up in goals).

Have to say I've only seen Kongolo a couple of times and he was making mistakes all over the place. I'm really hoping there is someone else in the black box.

Wasn't aware of that - sounds pretty decent news, would be delighted to see him here. See I rate Kongolo highly, his pace obviously helps him recover, and I can only remember watching him once this season where he made a glaring defensive error. But i'd definitely prefer Van Beek, his interceptions and passing range would mean we wouldn't miss Toby as much.

Kongolo has done it a few times this season. Still looks a good young cb but like you I prefer Van Beek.
