Wasn't suggesting you did, Charlie. It was just a comment related to the fact that people keep equating obesity with poverty in this country whereas in African countries poverty and lack of food leads to people wasting away. Some woman on Burnsy's show as on about poor people can't afford to eat healthily. Which is absolute nonsense. In reality they can't be bothered relying on ready meals and takeaways which are dearer than cooking for yourself.
Ron, Your reply has been deleted. (and your response only as it quoted it castro) There's a 'no politics'rule on here for a reason.
And lets be clear, if this sort of censorship is the norm here it clearly isn't for me. So if those posts are'nt re-instated, then this is the last post from me on this site. Enjoy your ****ty little non-dissenting world together.
I walked through the city centre the other week and thought it was really depressing that it's being flooded with legal loan sharks and betting shops.
You can have all the views you like, that's no problem. It's simply that with the occasional exception, there's a no politics, no religion rule on here, and sweet talking us won't change that.
It isn't an exact science, it's a general rule with plenty of grey areas . There were no shades in Ron's post, it was political. If I'm wrong, Castro saw it, so I reckon he'll correct me. On the whole it works well. Most posters seem to favour it.
Over 50% of ready meals sold in Europe are sold in this country. Do France, Italy, Spain etc have lessons on how to cook?Or do they have people who spend time looking for ingredients and preparing and cooking them instead of wanting to plonk themselves in front of the TV with a ready microwaved meal? Why is that so ? Who is responsible for this lack of education?
It referred to UKIP as being like neanthedrals. The rest of it made little sense. Which is why I asked him if he had been drinking. Guess I won't find out now.
What a great thread, this Ronald character is a feisty one isn't he? One thing the council need to address is the state of the A63 on the way into Hull. In that I mean the sides of the road and the amount of detritus and rubbish, it's literally everywhere. Anyone driving into the city for the first time would be disgusted at the state of the place. I honestly think Transwaste have a lot to answer for. Loads of times I've been behind one of their lorries with all sorts of ****e falling off the back of it as it trundles along towards Melton. Needs sorting ASAP.
All the way down to Fiveways is a rubbish tip, shame as the trees and flowers are starting to bloom, as well as the rubbish.
On the way in to Hull would be for ERYC to sort. The road itself isn't the Council it's a Highways Agency Rd. and Transwaste are covered by the Environment Agency, with load issues falling to the Police or the Department of Transport/VOSA But you're right, something should be done.
