The Allams wouldn't win a vote even if the questions were identical from last season.

I don't believe it's because the opposition to the name change has grown stronger, but his overall support has weakened.

The issue for the silent majority is less now about the name change itself, but the fact that the issue continues to drag on with no obvious end in sight.

Last season, the silent majority were giving Allam the benefit of the doubt due to the club success. i.e. newly promoted club, "big name" signings like Huddlestone and Jelavic and a Wembley run. This season it's been an experience of ticket price increases, disappointing signings, disappointing early exit from Europe and the prospect of relegation looming.

If Assem thought about the supporters them he could say that 'half/a good proportion of money made from the name change would go to reducing ticket prices.' I think if he did that then it would sail through

Except no one would believe it cos it'd be totally lacking in logic.

If he said, Vote for the name change and I will reduce season ticket prices by 20% then he would walk it.
However without premier league survival guaranteed, he could not afford to make that promise.

Why would it? They said that they lost a major sponsorship deal when the decision was rejected. As long as they proved this, I think it'd receive the backing of an awful lot of supporters, obviously not the HCST brigade though.

They obviously can't prove it, it's complete bollocks.

A "half/good proportion" of nothing is nothing

They said there were no sponsors ready to sign up on condition of the name changing.

It probably was bollocks but if Allam put forward a "no strings attached".... vote for the name change and i will reduce prices by 20% (whether that is funded through additional name change revenue or Premier League revenue) then he would walk it.

The name change isn't about money - he only decided to do it because Hull ity ouncil wouldn't give him our stadium for nothing. Orget the rest of it, it is total bollocks.

You can't run a football club the way the Allams are and succeed. It is just about trying to minimise the damage until the Allam family **** off.

When will the final decision be made? None of us needs this **** to be dragging on for another year.

Erm...if he offered a 20% backhander, then obviously there's strings attached, it's normally referred to as bribery.

Next month, though in theory he could wait another year and start this **** again for the 2016/17 season, though the FA may tell him he can't waste any more of their time.

And you think the majority of our fans couldn't be bribed?

The FA dismissed Allam's first ballot due to him asking a leading question, you seriously think they'd pay any more attention to the second if he'd bought the votes?

He wouldn't have to put it into the question though.

He could simply announce prior to the vote... if the majority of fans vote for the name change and the FA sanction the change, then I will reduce season passes by 20%. No-one tells me how to run my business etc.

The poll question could then be just a yes/no vote.

In fact, I might email him with this idea now.
    is his address [email protected]?
