Good Morning Everyone, How are we? To cheer us up, let's listen to some wise words from our Manager. Here are some of his quotes : NR: "I’m disappointed to get beat because results-wise we’re not on a good run. But we’re going to be a Championship side next year." "If it's someone else (as head coach next season) then good luck to them." "Good players cost money. Players at Norwich have got Premier League experience, never mind Champ experience. You can see difference" "The difference is apparent when you come up against a Norwich. They’ve got quality and these are the people we’ve got to compete with" "We’ve squeezed absolutely everything out of this group. It’s got a shelf-life and it takes you so far." Read into that what you will? Where shall we start? Formation. Is it a good idea to play (one of the) smallest player up front by himself as a target player? Balance. Does the team look balanced? Was the team that won the League in 91/92 the best individual 11 players. No! Does Redfearn try to put round pegs in square holes? Atmosphere. What was the atmosphere like at Elland Road last night? Players. Any signs of discontentment in the ranks? Were the players playing for each other? Improvement. Are there any signs of improvement at all? Relegation. Would it be fair to say that without Cook, Mowatt and Taylor, Leeds would have been relegated by now?
Morning all. I truly believe we have had two of the luckiest back to back seasons since I care to remember. Last season Ross had his best ever year, this season we have pulled off some wins and wondered how and we have three teams below us who are remarkabley worse. Things need to change sharpish or as Eire said, this is as good as it gets...

I'm actually quite glad Cook got injured. Playing a lad of his age every minute of every match cannot be good for him. He should have had a 3 or 4 game break 12 games back
Good morning Matt and co from a very dull and cloudy Bardsey #What I want to know is how did Ngoti play his he worth keeping How can you play Sharp as a sole striker really the sooner Redders goes back to what he does best looking after the youngsters the better for me Saying they had quality how come they were going nowhere until the new manager came along? What he fails to see is that the teams he picks are like a car with a burst tyre they have no balance Montenegro came on for 5 minutes how can you assess someone in that short space of time
Ah well that's the reason for our dip in form...thanks Mr ego......(I should point out Mr Ego is Cellino and not Elland) Good morning all by the way.
playing same tactics and formation but swapping players is not going to work. change the formation FFS. Last night we had. A Centre Back at Right Back but a Right Back at Left Back. A Left Back at Right Wing and Right Back at Left Wing with a 5"4 striker up top on his own who seemingly can't keep himself onside. Sit back and invite pressure and teams are eventually going to score 3-5-2 worth a go
Morning Elland and all. A lot of what readers said may be right. Probably have got as much from that lot as we could. Norwich have better quality than us and have done for last six years. That's not a fluke, it's by design. Norwich bring on a striker with ten minutes left that we couldn't hope to sign at Leeds. Does anyone have any idea if our latest accounts are poor enough to warrant a further transfer embargo in the summer just in case we were going to try adding a little quality to this lot
I personally really like the formation, similar to what Grayson was using except now we just don't have the players to play it.
Something else to add, the fill in options (playing CB at RB, playing RB at LB etc.) can work but only for odd game here and there. Redders has built his first team on the philosophy that any player can play anywhere on the pitch and it just does not work like that. I'm still gonna go with what I said earlier this season. We do have a strong nucleus of players at the moment, a strong GK who could do well for us for years to come. A solid CB in Bamba, I have never ever personally been sold on either Cooper or Bellusci but I'm certain a good manager/coach would get enough out of the other 2 to be good enough for the centre back positions (it may be an area we should look to add someone though). The CM positions, we have Cook who will grow with this team as will Mowatt but we are not using the experience in that position wisely or effectively either. Taylor looks incredibly promising and needs to be played in the LB role. We need to add onto what we have, we really are not far off a very good team imo, we do NEED to get a good manager in though who can work better with our players. Cellino doesn't help with our stability either admittedly. Good wide players and a quality striker
morning all I'm going to say it now and I'll say it when the season is over. This season has been a shower of **** from start to finish. Kissa's right we need to change formation but I doubt we could do after we sold who we sold and basically replaced with the CM. There were screams of Wide players from people but all we got was Adryan and Sloth. What Norwich have had over the last few seasons is good coaches who have been able to sign the players they wanted. Lambert might still have a job if he hadn't gone to Villa. I pray more and more Cellino sell up and the new owner brings in a British Manager who will allow him to bring his own players in
I like the fact that we are trying to control the midfield, but clearly it doesn't work, and we don't have a Heskey style target man up front
