Feelings aside for LFC, what happened at Hillsborough was a national tragedy. For those families to go through what they did for the length of time they did was nothing short of disgusting.

I've mentioned it before and I won't hesitate in mentioning it again.

I wish that Liverpool (the city, the club and the fans) had put as much effort into the reparations and rememberance of Heysel as they did Hillsborough. I don't remember anyone from the Liverpool (again the club, the city or the supporters association) going around the hospitals of Brussels promising justice for the families of those kiled by the supporters.

Yes, I am bitter about the whole Heysel thing. I have a right to be as I was right in the middle of it and, unfortunately, I still remember every detail as clear as if it were just yesterday from the intial continual charges from the Liverpool fans to the awful sound of the wall cracking and still the fans were charging and attacking people who weren't in red and white; be they Italian or Belgian. And all the while the medics were trying to get those who were both injured and dying.

If Liverpool FC and the supporters association put as much effort into trying to make amends for that evening in South Brussels as they did appealing for justice for Hillsborough then I would be be impressed with the club which I once had a lot of respect for. My respect for Liverpool vanished that night in Brussels and I make no apologies for it.

Hysel is the dirty secret that no one wants to remember. Just brush it under any rug for convenience sake.

There were other factors of course but certain Liverpool fans must shoulder some of the responsibility. I think any rational person would think the same.
