I also saw the fans leaving in droves but that was after the final whistle and until the first half of this season I've seen virtually every game at the Liberty.

What thousands of fans leaving just after the second half begins? I won't call them supporters for obvious reasons

    I feel for them

From what I saw, watched it on t'internet, the players gave up long before the fans did. If that heartless display came from the Swans I'd proably walk too. The team was attrociouse with no heart, guts, fight, spirit or any other adjective showing quality of purpose.

They got everything they deserved from the usually very loyal Mackems

i was one of those fans that left after 4th goal went in, and is the first time i have ever left early! it was a shocking proformance, and to see more than half the team walking back before they even scored the 4th goal and not caring why should i support that? i have a season ticket and will have one next year what ever league we are in, even with all the fans that left im sure with the ammount that was left i would of filled your stadium

    Spot on stumpy.

The players - particularly the central defence, gave up at 0-1 - not at 04 like most fans did.

It's interesting seeing fans of clubs doing well slating fans of clubs playing terribly. We have won 5 games all season - the bottom three have each won more than us - we've drawn 14 which is where the points have come from - if Swansea were in a similar position I'd guarantee the liberty would be as empty as the Stadium of Light was. It's not a "lack of support" it's a "sick to the back teeth" - Don;t say I don;t support my team - in 33 years I have TWICE left early (that's 33 years of GOING - I'm 39 and I was 6 at my first game) - both times this season (Villa and Saturday) in the 15 and 19 point seasons we were never as bad as we looked Saturday - nobody gave up and, most games, we were only a goal or 2 behind and rarely trounced - I didn't miss a minute of football home or away those seasons and I get jager slating me for leaving early? <applause>

One thing I will add to this mind, those of us who stayed had very little reaction to those who left.

Usually, if people leave early in numbers there's a bit if a stir and some people give them a bit of ****, not this week.

What you overlook is that yet again 42,000 plus attended, as they have all season, and no, this wasn't on a high after the derby win as we all knew this was a tough game against a very decent side.

That was 42,000, or a low side of average attendance for a club that's failed for 40 years.

Don't make me laugh saying our fans aren't 'loyal' or 'supporters', if they weren't we'd average 18-20k, like most clubs from a city of our size and population.

I have zero issue with the walkers, the team were cowardly.

Good to see a lot of the Swans lads balancing the article out though <ok>

The same Sunderland fans who have sold out every away game this season bar two games?

Great to see the vast majority of Swansea fans are very level headed about this <ok>

I disagree with the comment about us staying up by the way, we're ****ed!

how long have you been a premiership team, have you had loads of ****e and failed promises, just wait to your benefactor withdraws the cash and leaves you to fend for yourselves, could you make it on size of support, other income licke venues at the stadium when out of season where will the cash come from.

the stadium emptied because we have a load of dross who are there to pick up a pay cheque and are not bothered, so long as they have the cash to live a luxury lifestyle and pay the Ferraris service

We've had 6 new managers since the liberty was build, 7 if you count nugent. We've been there for 10 years. We've been through the mill somewhat over the last 15 years. But things are different now as the supporters trust owns more than 20% of the club.

We've had criminals and sharks over the years in charge of our club. We've had utter dross for most of my life as a swans supporter. You are in the premier league and will be next season imo, I don't pretend to know the problems at your club.

One thing I do know is that the supporters of 72 clubs below you would love to be in your position. I wish you success in the final games

When was that? Do you recall the game/s.

I don't recall anyone walking when Laudrup was in charge. First season it was too exciting to want to leave early and the second it was too stressful and tense for anyone to contemplate leaving early; as far as I can remember anyway.
