Most season passes go up. Most season passes don't go up in conjunction to an almost universally unpopular name change proposal, and general hatred and abuse of core fans. All of it is important.

You have a third choice which is to try and actively change the way modern football is. I have a few friends who prefer non-league football. Given what other fans have achieved, such as FC United of Manchester and AFC Wimbledon its hard not to agree they have a point. Assem Allam is creating the conditions in which another professional football club can prosper in Hull. 1,000 people watching Hull United climb up the leagues is possible. Many may come to feel £1,000 a year would be better spent at Hull United then paying the interest on Allamhouse's loans. I know you don't mean me.
The Hull United's an interesting one, because some local amateur players don't like what they're doing. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I've been to a couple of their games and enjoyed the experience. I'm still not sure if it's for me.
It's not incredible, it's a professional strategy to achieve their aims - the 'chummy' Mr Mooney, is playing you all with consummate ease. I find it absolutely hilarious how the different channels of outrage over the ASI, the tee-shirts without the club name on and this deliberately vague pricing statement are focussing so many on here, yet some (many, apparently) are prepared to spend further money on funding decorative banners for the owners stadium, banners that don't show the club's name either - banners that, whether intentioned or not, do carry on the owner's principle of losing the club's name. Fez, you've voiced your opinion on the banners repeatedly, and your inference that it's directly related to the problems is still bollocks. The design was the specific, free democratic choice of fans who specifically wanted to support the team, without it becoming a political statement. It's a shame you refuse to respect that choice. You've been given several opportunities to test your theories and you've backed off each time. There are plenty of genuine issues, you don't need to invent others. If, as every other time, this starts raking over the same thing, I'l move it to the banner thread. I've moved several posts from here to there already tonight. I've better things to do with my time.
I never saw the name change has a big deal to me. Didnt see why both sides got so upset over it. Being a fan for over 20 years and a pass holder for 18 yrs of them.
What do you consider as the reasons for the change? Do you feel the potential reduction in pass sales because of it, could be a factor in the increased prices?
I'm a bit a surprised at the reaction to these price increases on social media, it's much more severe than I expected, many think it's a bigger deal than the name change ffs. It seems many reluctantly accepted the large hike last season as we were in the Premier League and were spending a fair bit on players, but now there's a general 'he's taking the piss' sort of reaction, with a great many deciding to switch to match day tickets. Personally, I'm pissed off that it's another thing we were misled about, as we were told it was going to be a minimum increase and I don't consider 6%/10% to be minimal, particularly when it comes on top of a 30% increase last season. I'm now expecting a significant drop in season ticket sales.
Laid in the comfort of my bed between 12 midnight and 4.00am (depending on daylight saving) on most Saturday mornings to watch my beloved Hull City I guess I cannot complain having what I consider to be the 'best seat in the house' (for nothing)! However, these prices seem to be a bit exorbitant to say the least. If what Madge has stated is true regarding a 30% increase last season and a further 6-10% this season then these would be way beyond me should I still be residing in England. I receive a pension double what I would have received in England so how pensioners in Hull can afford to watch Hull City, even with a concession, is hard for me to believe. On paper this is plain unadulterated greed especially if we finish up in the Championship next season so what the hell is Allam expecting? It does not make sense to me as (as Madge said) this will surely decrease Season Ticket sales not just significantly but also to a level that could not possibly sustain a team with our wage bill. There is always method in someones madness but this has completely baffled me.
For me its the whole package. Price increase well in excess of inflation to fund over paid players who by and large couldn't really give a toss about fans or City and this on top of a huge increase in TV revenue IN A TIME OF AUSTERITY. The name change debacle. The frequent lies. The cloud hanging over the away support money. I could go on. After 51 years I am undecided about paying out for my pass next year and I fear that once I have broken the City habit I will never return.
Allam knows as long has city stay in the prem lge it will be over 95% full each week in a 25,000 stadium. Thats the problem
Just has a matter of interest it's just been announced we are in negative inflation. So 6% increase is a complete disgrace.
It's only 90% now and that's a 5% drop on 2013/14. With the price rise and all the other ****e they'll probably be another 5% drop. If we get relegated we'll probably down to 14,000.
