For me, its a straight red, it was dangerous and reckless, he also when in with his studs as well, we're lucky that Blind didn't break his leg yesterday.
I thought the yellow was right, he led with one foot and just got it wrong no intent to hurt the player imo. The studs thing always confuses me? There is no way to tackle like that without the studs showing, if he gets the ball nobody would make a fuss and it would be a great tackle.
When I saw the thread title, I didnt even need to look at who started this thread to know it was you Metth. Aren't they discussing this in the Matchday thread, you know, as it happened in the match....on matchday.
Every tackle is a potential leg breaker. You're being dramatic. Not every bad foul merits a red card so you absolutely are being a tart.
I ****ing knew he was gonna say that. He comes out with the same stock response every time. "I bet if it had been a [insert team you support] player you would be saying different." Not everyone is as ridiculously biased and blinkered as you Metth.
No. I'd expect a yellow if it was against Charlie Austin, me, you, Fabio or your mum. Only you form an opinion based on whether or not it concerns Man United.
Touch and go, no one could complain if he was sent off. I've seen plenty sent off for less. That said, does it need a thread whining about it? No, does it ****.
I've seen Kompany sent off for less - the foul he did on Nani in the FA Cup a few years back wasn't as bad or as dangerous as the one yesterday. He's definitely a lucky fellow - with studs up and off the floor like that you are asking for trouble. Tho he did look like his leg gave way a bit as he went into the tackle, possibly the injury he was subbed off for, so it looks like he just lost control rather than trying to fly in and take Blind out. Yellow was probably fair, also based a bit on the ref letting Jones off for what was a blatant yellow card later on in the game - at least the ref was consistent yesterday.
It was the only thing Kompany did in the whole game. He is passed it now if i was City i would sell Kompany still living off the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 seasons. Plus with FFP they need to sell before they can buy big anyway.
If it were a Man United or Chelsea player I think it would be huge news, but it was just a player from a small midtable team who are in decline and can't now spend to dig themselves out lol
