You couldn't have been far from me then fieldmarshall, I was right there front row, It was a perfect back post head, clattered their whiney RB aswell. quality. I would to see a clip of tabby's header when he clattered him aswell.
So to summarise, those who actually saw the game/had to sit through it today weren't too impressed with us!
It was a typical nervy end of season game, which wasn't helped by going behind early. Mick is right we should have battered them and could have been 5 up on the hour mark.
don't see how anyone could say we should have been 5 up when we rarely threatened their goal. Don't think it was a typical end of season game for a team in with the chance of promotion either. Sorry don't buy either of them comments. Each to their own and we all interpret things differently but for me it seemed like we had nothing to play for, not the ultimate goal.
Not sure how MM thinks we should have been 5 up after an hour, we barely had 5-6 shots on target all game...maybe it's his MM tinted specs he is looking through?
Went today (took 3 1/2 hours to get home from Ipswich to Royston thanks to our incredible train network. I agree it was a very nervy performance but at this stage of the season, 3 points has to be the only goal. As for the midfield today, I thought Scuse had a good game, he was (IMO) the only one trying to put his foot in. Not sure what has happened to Bishop but he was poor today - as he was against Bournemouth. Not sure how fit he is, but I would start Williams against Cardiff & get as long as we can out of him. As for wide midfield, if Varney is injured, Anderson is not the answer - again, depending on fitness - start S. Hunt? For what its worth, my starting 11 for Tues would be: Bart, Parr, Chambers, Berra, Mings, Hunt, Skuse, Williams, Tabb (no one else fit), Murphy & Sears
Just seen the goals, was waiting to make sure before I commented on them but again we are found out in the RB slot, first goal Chambers is stuck way out of position and looking for Skuse to bail him out, as for the 2nd he is completely the wrong side of his man, this issue along with our poor midfield has to get sorted in the summer!
I'm not sure about some of these comments saying we didn't look up for it and rarely threatened. Admittedly I just heard the commentary but 19 shots and 9 corners says different really. Blackpool off the back of 3 draws weren't guaranteed push overs either. I'm not surprised we were a bit nervy... Was a must win game...and we did.
Sorry Castro, but Blackpool are already down for a reason....they are pushovers, or at least have been to most sides away this season, believe me we looked lack lustre and more devoid of ideas than normal, Murphy could not hit a cows arse with a banjo today!
Fair enough, I've seen nothing of the game yet... Just saying Blackpool being down and out could relax and play for pride whereas we obviously had some tension which I'm guessing led to silly mistakes etc. The important thing is we're back in the mix, just hope we can keep going. I'm expecting a stressful few weeks!
Even at 3-2 with some 10 minutes left I thought it was possible that Blackpool might have spoiled the party and equalized. A win's a win, but I thought we were unconvincing today, I was happy to hear the final whistle. And I got a ticket for doing 50mph in a 40 limit on the way over today, an extra expensive day out...
Get in, we won, other results went our way happy days! If Carlsberg did footy.............. From my end, didn't go and I couldn't give a toss if we played good / bad today. We won, we're back in the top 6 with 4 to play. That'll do me. GET IN.
