Well that was painful and further proof we really aren't good enough.

No I wasn't but I'm going up for the Cardiff game.

I heard the commentary on Suffolk and we deserved to win by all accounts. It may not have been pretty but at this stage it's all about the points.

We have now surpassed our total points tally from last season with 4 games to go so it must go down as being a very good season. Anything now is a bonus!

If all you're worried about is the three points then fair enough. But it wasn't plainly obvious which side was pushing for a play off place and which had already been relegated with a dreadful minus GD.That coupled with our inability to string more than two passes together, some of the worst defending for their goals really don't give me much to be positive about.I've had less painful afternoons at the dentist.

It was bound to be nervy especially at 1-0 down and then at 2-2 but all credit to the lads for showing the character to dig out the win today. The performance at this stage has to take second priority to the points IMO! We chucked points away last weekend so the pressure was really on us today. There will be much more Arse Clenching between now and the final game! <ok>

Just to add that it is absolutely incredible that we find ourselves in this position with only four games remaining! Over the course of the season yes you can argue that we threw it away in January after being in the top 2 but to keep that sort of form going with the resources we have was never likely. We are now guaranteed a top 8 finish and over the last two seasons Mick has turned us from relegation battlers to the fringes of the play offs! You've got to be happy with the progress we have made but I guess some fans will always moan whatever!

There is an awful lot to be positive about from this season and we know about our shortcomings but to be where we are right now is just tantamount to the hard work that Mick and TC have put in with the lads. So much more to play for but whatever happens my pride and faith have been restored and for the first time in a long while it's just great to be a Town fan again!

I think today maybe that Blackpool had no pressure so could relax a little while we still have much to play for so are obviously a little more nervy

I would've taken three points before the game, regardless of the margin of victory. Thankfully, we got there in the end. We should have killed Blackpool off at 2-1 up, in retrospect, especially considering the opportunities we had. Ultimately, we showed great character and perseverance to get the three points, as anything less would have dealt a very heavy blow to our play-off ambitions.

Derby, Brentford, and Wolves all dropped points this weekend, so to maximise on what was an easy fixture on paper, shows that hopefully we can build on momentum and reverse some of the inconsistency we've shown this year. Cardiff on Tuesday is a crucial fixture (as they all will be should we want a top six finish) and while, realistically, we can't win them all, I think we can push on and get three points over a Cardiff side that have nothing to play for this season apart from pride.

we were average at best. No pace, no invention, no oomph, there was nothing there really. Considering where we are and what we have to play for I was hoping for a game of real intensity but I have seen pre season friendlies played with more passion. Happy about the 3 points but god getting through that was difficult.
Im with BigAl, it was painful.
Sorry Nuggets but Im not sure where you got Character and Perseverance from. We plodded from start to finish and hardly had any clear cut chances at all. Decent first goal from Sears, kinda lucky second and a bit of a scrambled third. Two poorly defended goals conceded and a performance where you couldn't tell who was where in the table. We may get to the play offs but Im really not convinced we can get an aggregate win. We just don't seem to have any intent or purpose.
Sorry to be so negative after a win but quite frankly that game had few positives other than 3 points.

A scrambled third goal TB? It was right in front of us and Berra nailed the header after a really good cross.
I think Bournemouth to win the league because they are the best footballing side in the division, The Budgies to get the second automatic promotion spot because they should do with that squad and the massive income they have to finance it and then its a toss up between 6 or 7 other clubs as things stand.
We all know that the cupboard is bare as far as cash goes at PR so can a team of rejects, boys and a few loan players compete with clubs with financial clout and reach the play offs? I don't know either but whatever happens its been good to have been consistently in the top half of the division this season and credit for that must go to MM and TC because lets face it they've had sod all help from Evans.
If we can get another 3 points on Tuesday then weve definitely got a chance, we might not make it but Christ its a bloody sight better than worrying about relegation stressfull as it is.
Ive enjoyed this season and proud of what ITFC has achieved come what may.

3 pts is all that counts at this stage.......I get that but I tell you what we are a dog awful side to watch, even sections of the SBRS are shouting hoof when we launch it forward.

I know we are still in the mix but we were lucky, a better side would have all but ended our season today, Blackpool scored from almost every chance they had, just as well they did not create much more!

Murphy has gone completely off the boil, that's a concern, Varney going off early is a concern...As for Ando how the sub did not get subbed is anyone's guess, the worst player on the pitch.

We go again on Tuesday night, just glad it's Cardiff, some things in life a certainties and Cardiff getting zero points in IP1 is one of them.....just how big is Wolves away next week?

3 wins from 4 required...I think that is the 80 points I mentioned a month or so ago <ok>
