The arrogant stripey lot down the A27 think they will whip your arses at St.Fairy's at the weekend.

Have you Tigers still got any fight left in your bellies, or will you turn into pussy cats and roll over?

    Thoughts guys?

    Pompey fan in peace.

well we won't have David Donkey Meyler.
    so we should do OK.

    when does Thudd get back?
    Diame should be playing too.

Lose after an heroic struggle or lose after giving up. It depends on which team turns up.

Although we could get a draw if we are lucky.

We really need something, just a point would perk us up and give some hope for the even harder fixtures to come.

But I expect us to lose comfortably.

    Paging, BCC!

How's fan ownership working out for Pompey? Are you in a position to start slowly crawling back up the leagues or will the away stand become a future block of flats?

Think we'll do well to get anything off the Saints. Can't see us threatening their goal too much and we've always got a mistake or lapse of concentration in our defence to gift them a goal.

Reckon Pelle will miss a hatful before finally getting one to go in from a scramble in the second half, and Long will win a pen from something that will probably end up with Tom Daley getting annoyed by a sudden influx of twitter messages. We may fluke a goal but I reckon odds on our goalscoring are around 60% 0 goal, 35% 1 goal, 5% more than 1 goal.

This. Or maybe all this negative talk will result in a win, then some people might overreact and declare that we'll be challenging for Europe next season!

They can't score for love nor money at the moment. Unfortunately, they have Shane Long, who used to play for us. So that's him scoring then.

I've never seen such a negative set of responses!!! Why don't we simply stay at home and give them three points by default? For heaven's sake!

So, maybe we aren't the best team in the league but neither are Southampton. We need points. We can help to get them by supporting our team; we can let our team know we believe in them! We need the players on the pitch and in the dug out to know that we expect them to win for us; that failure is not an option. We need to have some faith!

This probably sounds like a load of bollocks. I don't care. I simply believe that there is no such thing as a lost cause. Ever!

I seem to be the only person who thinks that we may win tomorrow. COYH

Well we've got a group or 3 or 4 solid lads going down for the game, they better be ready!

I assume the 657 will turn up in numbers at Stevenage on Tuesday to lay waste to the notorious SRQ?

    I think we might win.

Then again I said that before the Man City game.

I'm going for the unlikely City win by one goal.

Then the City fans can sing something romantic to Long or Long's Mrs about being under the thumb.

Good player, he had a decent relationship with Jelavič, so for me the net upside of £2m for losing long and 'gaining' Hernandez - is the worst bit of transfer business Bruce did. If we lost Long got Deeney and pocketed £2m, I'd have been much happier.

Under our our current form I expect us to lose 3 - 0 but luckily my predictions all season have been off the rails so we will win 2 - 0

Travelling in hope more than expectation. But the ale is good whatever the result.

That said I have a sneaky feeling that we will get a draw.

Well I hope you're enjoying the ale. Just got in, and despite reading 17 pages of match thread, am not really sure of how we played.

Did we show enough fight? Were we unlucky to lose? Is anybody proud?

We were ****, so were Southampton. We had a couple of half chances and a handful of semi meaningful shots so, Chelsea and Sunderland excepted, it's the best we've played in 3 and a half months, but that's really not saying much at all.

By last seasons standards, we would have been moaning about how dreadful we were. But it seems that our atrocity this season has skewed many's perception and some seem to think we played quite well.

We were poor in all honesty, couldn't really create anything of note, and Alex Bruce will probably win COTM for gifting a penalty away by attempting the most ridiculous, unnecessary challenge in the box and executing it with staggering inadequacy.
