........ you're really starting to get on my nerves.

His attempts to be unbiased, about Sunderland, make him come out with some daft comments.

Immediately after witnessing one of the best derby goals ever scored the best he could manage was,
"Well we mentioned 'smash & grab' and that's exactly what Sunderland have just done."

What afucking poor thing to say, we'd pushed Newcastle back and had half a dozen chances before that went in.

Was it smash & grab when Chelsea scored the winner against Stoke the same weekend?

I like the bloke but he's not the best man to commentate on Sunderland in my opinion.

BTW, get voting on this if you like,

His commentary can be poor when we are playing.
He seems to go out of his way to show that he is unbiased.

I'd love the bloke to get sacked from Sky, not a popular opinion on here of all places but seriously, nothing to do with his City background, I just think he's so basic in his commentary he makes Phil Neville look like, well, Gary Neville.

SNQ is a wonderful ambassador for our city,( tho I still think of it as a town in Co Durham and always will ), yes, he does make the odd poor comment but the bulk of his delivery is priceless for us, so lets not be too critical, leave that to TJ. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Am I right in thinking he's commented on every one of your 5 in a row games?

Maybe he's the lucky charm for you.

Quinny is a legend for the club but a terribly bloke to commentate on our games. I think he still loves the club but he always seems anti SAFC when commentating.

That's a point, there was one last season that wasn't on.

Same with Gary Neville and Carragher mate, they're often over critical of United and Liverpool respectively (GNev even got told by LVG!) I think they over compensate for those who thought they might just be biased towards their clubs, so they go so far the other way to make it not so.

The Arsenal fans won't be able to take it when they get slapped and Thierry rips them a new one, I can't wait.

Bidvest must have been rubbing their hands, millions tuning in for the derby, a goal that will be shown countless times... sponsorship is well worth it, millions will see the brand... OH FOR **** SAKE<laugh>

I think Quinny is referring to the timing of the goal rather than the goal itself and the general play in the half. It was scored 20 seconds before the end of the first half, so i can see where he's coming from.

And its not like we had buckets of chances in the 1st half, we had the majority of the play, but not many clear cut chances, plus the scum deserved a penalty in the early moments.

I can see where hes coming from.

You're the only person, SAFC or NUFC fan I've seen who's said that.

He takes the man before the ball IMO, goes right through the back of him.

I thought it was a pen at the time, and i think vergini was very very lucky.

I thought it was a pen in real time, but it looked fairly decent in the replay.

I don't think Newcastle had any complaints afterwards, apart from with the shower of **** that turned up for the game.

Not IMO. From what i could see, he goes through the back of his man with both legs, and takes the ball with his right leg once perez was brought down.

2 footed, from behind, is a massive danger whatever way you look at it.

I thought it was the manner of the goal, Keepers freekick, to Fletch's head, to Defoe's boot, to the back of the net.

The tackle must have been with 1 foot and from the front then.
