Ok Harry, calm down dear. Oh and the bit about the press was priceless coming from a media whore http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32236284
" QPR was in the paper every day. I've been at lots of other clubs, big clubs as well where you didn't get that." So this isn't happening now at Man City...Arsenal having has this for years about Wengers "lack of trophies"...Big Sam isn't on the rack all the time at Spam. Pearson at Leicester....Grow up Arry. The reason the Dyche doesn't get this is because he has developed a TEAM on limited money, who play for him and the club...without constantly bleating to the media about this that and everything. I must admit I am enjoying the ride more with Ramsey, who talks sensibly about my club....... ..................................................(however is the media favourite "go to" person on all things racist)
The truth is slowly but surely coming out. I'll give him credit for this though: "I didn't want to go outside," said Redknapp. "I just didn't want to be with anybody, I just really wanted to shut myself off. It's a silly feeling. "I know it's only a football match, but you feel responsible. It's different when you're a player. "As manager, you feel responsible for all the fans going to work, their weekend, their team losing. It's all on your shoulders. It's difficult at times." I believe this statement to be sincere. Good on him.
Agree. He seemed to find it "difficult at times" to tell the media much other than porkies. Still even though I wanted him out a couple of months before the end of the Championship last season, I never disliked him that much. Just feel that whatever talent he had had as a football manager had gotten lost somewhere soon after he joined us. I like Ramsey a lot more, and think he might become a top top Maanger, I hope with us.
Lost his Mo Jo long before he went , we should have removed well before it happened ,sadly he still is milking the media . Let it drop and retire , its boring hearing from you again Harry.
You are a very trusting man Norway, which is a good thing. I don't think Redknapp has an ounce of sincerity in him, he just says what he thinks puts him in the best light. And if he really does believe it's all about the fans he should have resigned years ago. Just look at the self contradictory stuff about England - he would have taken the job, even though he says he couldn't have done large chunks of it.
He is 'aving a laugh, isn't he? Always someone else to blame. Same at Saints, similar at Pompey, not far off at Spurs, just for once I would have liked for him to be honest..........or say nothing. Its no coincidence he's come out with this a week after Qpr having given themselves a fighting chance of staying up, he's just waiting to take all the credit, watch this space!
Hilarious from start to finish. Now lads and lasses. This is a forum. Can we hear from one of his supporters? He must have some left somewhere. Just paints a sad picture to me that he does not even have the dignity to shut up. The pattern repeats itself. He praises each boss who has employed him - then a couple of months later bitches about that them and how he was betrayed. He should tell it to the fans of Pompey and Southampton who went into financial meltdown buying his players while he earned millions at their expense. Destined to go down in history as one of football's fraudsters.
He's a complete idiot for coming out with this tripe now. Most people didn't really believe the "knackered knees" excuse. He's seen that we may just scrape survival (with some divine intervention) and will want that to be down to him. If he comes out with such comments as "I'd be a liar if I sat here and said anything else", someone should tell him that clearly "you are a sad, old liar". I'm just glad it all got too uncomfortable for him before we ploughed millions more in to the cause of looking after his inflated ego. He was taking us the same way as Portsmouth. Thanks for nothing positive Harry, even the one moment of delight (at Wembley) during his tenure was down to a moment of luck & not his inspiration.
I'm afraid I am yes. Good thing? Maybe, but definitely not always. Hate being taken for a ride, like the one HR had us on. There are bits and pieces though that I believe is truthful, you just have to be very selective when it comes to Harry.
I wanted to see 'ol Harry do well as it meant we would do well. Seemed an affable chap and kept rooting for him. But this retreat and tittle tattle from him has me cringing!! He lied - no other way to look at it. Now he looks like a whinging chump, who couldn't andle a bit of back office politics (FFS, we all have that to deal with regularly in the workplace). You would have thought with his experience he would have the cahunas to deal with it - not walk out on the club at the end of the transfer window and make out some lame (pun intended) excuse. Only words I feel expressive are: Bastard! Liar!
He did learn one thing though. Blaming it all on Adel Taarabt didn't save him from the consequences of his own tactical ineptitude. There's a certain poetic injustice in him blaming his downfall on people saying nasty things about him. Come on Harry. Show us your knees. Are you sure you were not just a bit overweight?
Personally I think this is arrant nonsense - a professional football manager, like players and staff make great capital out of their commitment to 'the fans' - but the truth is that ultimately, if a better paid, more high profile job comes along they all move without a moments consideration. It's up there with kissing the badge and the obligatory 'we're up for the challenge/owe it to the fans' media bollocks that is trotted out weekly by each player in turn (almost certainly written/edited by the club) as part of their media commitments. The only people who actually 'care' about the club are the fans, and very, very rarely a player/staff member who has a significant investment of time in a club. To pretend otherwise is, and this is my opinion, delusional. Players and staff might get pissed off when they lose a match, but it's got **** all do do with the club itself. They are driven, professional individuals who are highly competitive - losing hurts because they don't like to lose - the fans are a simply means to an end for the club, a cash cow. Fans are bottom of the list of concerns - but they aren't going to tell us that, we might not buy the shirt. Ironically, the fans always used to be the club, the club didn't exist without the fans, until we were bypassed/superseded by TV.
Look...................Harry said he left because of his knees and now, in this interview, he never mentions them once. Instead he blames someone at the club who wasn't entirely on his side. For ****'s sake, what a twat!! It was clear that he'd lost his enthusiasm for the job once he was with us and I for one will be happy to never hear from the lying toad again!
I think we all knew that that the knees were an excuse, and presumably that person that wasn't on his side was Sir Les. Tactically he'd completely lost it and I fear we are going to pay the ultimate price.
