I used to go to Hull Trinity House school on Prince's Dock Street & you weren't allowed to turn left if you came out the school at lunchtime (they had an officer on duty to prevent it) as it led down to Earl de Grey, presumably they didn't want the lads drinking beers and mixing with certain ladies..

My dad always reckoned the Olde White Harte served the best pint.

Was it a Tetley's pub? It now has its own micro-brewery.

My current local is the Bells of Peover.

When I lived in West of Hull it was the Hop Pole and the Wheat Sheaf.
When I lived in Hull it was the Tap and Spile and the Black Boy.
When I lived in Cyprus it was the Shamrock Sports Bar, Nicosia.
When I lived in Beverley it was The Sun (Tap and Spile) and Nellies.

My local (as ive just moved) is The Kingswood, my old local would have been The Marine in Hornsea :)

Pike & Heron, Rose & Crown and The Alex are all aload of bollocks IMO in Hornsea.

Oi Pearsons flat top, word to the wise. Please try and remember when posting to doveston007 it's "You're a Twat" or "You are a Twat". Otherwise you'll just confuse the ****.

    Nellies hey!

Went in there about two weeks ago for the first time in 30 years. Last time I was in there Nellie was still alive (not that you could tell from the smell), - not as good as it was when she had it! Ah.... Nostalgia aint what it used to be!

I used to live a couple of hundred yards away and went in there most days, for a pint or two of Museum Ale. I went in last Friday after the races, first time in years and it's just not the same any more.

Earlier in this thread, I recomended The Percy Arms if you fancied a pub meal, I had lunch there today, I now recommend only eating there on a weekday. :emoticon-0120-doh:

Even so, Museum in a Sam Smiths pub is only about £1.40 or so.
