Those of you who play football for a local team or whatever, do you use those undershirt things with your kit that are supposed to keep you warm or cool? If so do they work or not?

I've never worn them. They (apparently) work, but you look like a complete tit.

I have worn them to keep me warm, which they do. But I haven't tried to see if they keep you cool.

Cheers <ok> Plan to get one for winter this season because we don't get long sleeve shirts for my team. Also they do ones that are supposed to keep you cool according to JJB.

They say they keep you cool but I always take me off because it makes me sweat more. With it being so close to the body (skin tight) then it doesn't let the air get to your skin and the water evaporate as easy, therefore making you hotter...that's I how feel when I wear one anyways.

In the winter use a normal one, as you will still get warm when running around, if you use a thermal one (like when skiing) you will sweat your royal hairs off <ok>

You mean like NikePro's? They keep you warm in the winter, not too sure about keeping you cool in the summer though. I've got a couple but sometimes find them a tad uncomfortable depending on playing conditions...

Definitely keeps the chills out in cold weather, usually wear them in winter but once past February they just make it rediculously warm so I ditch it at half time or don't bother at all. Normally do wear something under my kit as the badge grates on me nips haha

You're starting to give me flashbacks of the seagulls from Finding Nemo...

I have a Nike one and in answer to your question yes they work and are not a gimmick although, Id suggest buying a slightly big one, as I bought one and was super tight!! Which can have adverse effects on your performance!!

I used to wear them for Rugby a lot and sometimes Football. They keep you warm but they don't cool you down.
