We always play much better in one half than another...sometimes the first...sometimes the second
Today it is the second half we play well

 

Watching Sherwood celebrating goals makes me feel sick

 

I'm in Uber's camp. Our midfield is weak, influential and does not support either our attack or defence.
They make the job for our defence as hard as it could be, they lose the ball and others teams cut through our midfield like a knife through butter. Very poor!!

 

Cant believe I am saying this but Hoilett on for Kranky, got to stop Bacuna on the right & get at Richardson on their left.

 

To summarise

Outplayed from the off
Our goal against the run of play
No midfield
Defence sloppy (or maybe just crap)
Joey seems to be virtually the only one up for ir(though his set pieces are awful)
Their first goal was probably offside but it was our mistake that let them anywhere near it.

This could easily end up 5-1. Next goal is crucial.

No idea about subs as no-one better is on the bench, but Clint is seriously struggling at LB, and Krancjar is just sh*t.

 

Nothing is functioning and all is too slow. Not sure who we have on the Bench but I think we need Hoillet and Traore on just to at least give us some speed.

 

Defensively weak, tactically very poor. Clint totally exposed at left back. They can play without a right back, effectively making Bacuna an extra midfielder free to bomb forward against Hill. Traore need to come on for Kranjcar or it will only be a matter of time before we concede again.

We're about to lose a 'must not lose game', the story of being an 'R'.

All hope is not lost though, I still believe in these players. Someone just have to tackle Benteke, hard.

 

Against my better judgement, I decided to watch a stream.
The bottom line is that Villa are much better than us. They are completely outplaying our non-existent midfield. Barton has been poor on the ball and with free kicks.
Caulker is just terrible I'm afraid and is very likely to get sent off!
I think we'll have to put an extra man into midfield or else we're going to get hammered. I know they are playing the same formation as us, but their midfield is so much better. Kranjcar is a little embarrassing.

 

They are no great shakes defensively it's just that they have a pacey out let up front to ease any pressure...

As has been said all season so many times......we just do not have the pace in this team to cope in this league

 

My eight year old boy just said: why chip the ball into the box, why not hit it hard like they do?
My CR team talk would start with a question: why are they enjoying this game and we are not?
The choices are:
1) I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown, ffs why do I keep on doing this?
2) If we turn this around I'll be smiling until Sunday.
How obvious is it that Benteke always makes his runs in behind Isla?

 

What a lovely evening. Takes an hour and a half to drive 25 miles due to M ****ing 6 then another hour to park a mile from the ground, including a fiver to the kid backed up by wizened blokes in dayglo jackets pretending to be official. Stroll through Aston, twinned with Aleppo, ticket office send me to turnstile to pick up ticket, turnstile send me back. Get in with 30 minutes played, but appears I got here before the ****ing team.

Oh well mustn't grumble.

 

Qpr needs a boot up the arse and make the players realize how important this game is for survival. -2-1 down is not a disaster at this point and have been let off by poor finishing by villa so they have to regroup and realize this is a game we can win....
