I don't believe he is worth that amount, then again how much would it cost to replace him? On a positive I don't believe he is good enough at RB and as for RM he isn't the hottest. Depends on what happens to the £8m if it goes ahead
It could just be a rumour at moment, Rob Atkinson is reporting it as so, and Daily Star, according to Atkinson put up a picture of Murphy along side the report. I agree Ristac, I don't think he's worth 8 mill but if it's true, Cellino will get what he can for him.
I suggest we stop trying to decide if Byram is good enough/ will be missed and wake up the possibility our owner is more of a seller of young talent than some previous owners
spot on 2020 ... it's Cellino's blueprint as laid out by him personally, and he's not shy about it as he believes it benefits the club to develop and sell young talent
Billy, with respects, I do agree with Cellino to a certain extent in that, we can't pick and play every academy kid that comes through, there's too many of'em, and it would be unfair on the kids, not to mention crowded and a burden on the wage bill, to just keep them all at Leeds without the chance of further development.

The Metro are essentially reporting what the Daily Star have reported, and I don't consider them to be a refutable source so I doubt this is true. £8m would be nice sum though, provided it was all reinvested properly. Still don't think Rodgers would spend £8m on an unproven Championship player for a club with genuine Champions League/title aspirations, albeit one with potential.
It's all a load of redtop bollocks, as usual. Not the first time we've heard it. It's about time that Sports 'journalists' started reporting news, rather than making it up. They're only mildly more acceptable thn agents. Btw, Byram knockers - are you aware that he has the highest heading stats in the squad - the whole squad, not just the FB/WBs! Doesn't say a lot for our CBs & strikers, does it? I even think that Silvestri has higher heading stats than Doukara!

I'd love for him to stay but think we'd have to let him go for that price. Just need to hope that the money we are/will make from transfers is properly reinvested which does seem quite unlikely.
