http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-linked-shock-move-8984713 could be a good move.... cant be worse than slade, might bring some attacking football rather than the lump it up and hope for the best!
Thank **** for that. The mere fact that we're being linked with someone else is quite enough for me at the moment rather than us carrying on with this bloody Slade charade. I hope someone in authority at the club is recognising what the supporters who've sat through this rubbish season have been saying for ages. Slade is not the manager to lead us into next season if we are to have any hope of competing at the top. He needs to go in May and give the new guy (whoever that may be) a decent chance through the summer and pre-season build up.
Unfortunately Marshall and Bruno are probably the ones to go and we will be left with the rest. I don't know anything about Ribiero but as Sparky says I am encouraged by the fact we are being linked with another manager.
Recommended by The Special One no less. Just remember, Andrea Ferretti was recommended by Alex Fergusson. I'm hoping there is some truth in this, not because Ribeiro is coming, but Slade is going. He was put in an unenviable position by Tan. Nice guy, but we need someone with a bit more nous.
I can't see that we will be changing managers any time soon. After all is said and done the useless Slade is doing exactly what Tan wants - offloading high earners and acquiring players that are much cheaper while at the same time doing a reasonable job points wise. The fact that entertainment value is below zero is no reason to dismiss a manager who is sticking to his brief. I know the crowd numbers next season will plummet but that was likely to happen anyway as the majority of fans are fickle and only interested in following a team that is competitive or is in the Premier League.
After the way we are performing against Bolton (currently 0-2) a change of manager during the summer may well be discussed. But is there much point in going for a manager who is struggling with his current club and has no experience in the UK. I guess we learnt nothing from Ole.
