Want to see what Ron has to say as he may have legitimate reasons but think he really got it wrong today, hasn't happened very often but today might have been one of the few times.

Why would it? We've still got 5th, or at the very least 6th, to fight for. Publically at least, Koeman's general focus has been on top six rather top four, so just because the latter is now surely over it shouldn't stop us aiming to achieve the former.

Yeah, not really sure how failure to score is Pelle's fault today. The whole offense was bad. And bad defending in the first half, too.

IEverton are a decent team and Martinez isn't a fool. Everyone knows if you go up one goal against us you just be smart at the back and see the game out.

Honestly don't think I have disliked a Saints player as much as Pelle. Thought he was **** when we signed him, thought he was **** when he was scoring goals at the start of the season, still think he is **** now. Really hope we sell him in the summer, but we probably won't and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him as our first choice striker next year either.

Boot on the other foot, and it's Long going down tamely all day long to win us free kicks to help see us home to a 1-0 win.

I have no issue with Naismith.

That was a really dull game. Everton were ordinary, but we didnt do not nearly enough second half to get an equaliser.

Missed Davis I think. Not enough tempo.

Didn't mean league position but performance. The team are probably running on empty, because we just don' t have enough options when performances drop. Other top six teams seem to be able to change half the team when they need to.

Still only a point off 5th, and we can hope Burnley do us a favour against Spurs, although they still have to come to St Marys.

Next week vs Hull is crucial.

Hull next week. Please god let us score first and early, because if we go behind and they get ten men behind the ball I don't think I'll be able to stand it.

I have one issue with today, one. That's it. But it's an issue I have had for years.

We have 10 corners, more than twice as many as Everton. Never did I get excited when we won one. Rarely, if ever, did they lead to anything noticeable. Week after week, month after month, year after year, we are failing to take advantage.

The amount of people who believe the effectiveness of an attack is entirely reliant on one player is utterly baffling to me.

Still can't believe we haven't bothered to waltz down the corner shop and buy the 'proven' '20-goal a season' striker which we've need for ages yet, I mean it's just that simple and we haven't even been arsed to do it yet, I just don't get it! Or better yet the solution to all our problems is a poacher to finish off all those chances we created in the second half. Sort it out Les.

That's more than a bit harsh, but I agree that we'll need a better option at striker than Pelle or Long next season. They aren't the whole of the problem by any means, but that's the natural place to start looking for a solution.

Talk to my Sunderland mate about our crisis! Don't be surprised if he uses strong language. He thinks it is a great season if they win 1match. Guess which one?

We are lacking a top quality striker, but so are a few teams. It is frustrating, but Pelle can't take all the blame.

I don't think that's on the deliveries either. They are consistently put into a good area but no one wins their battles.

The spacing is generally really bad. We end up with clusters of players bunched together on the edge of the six yard box; no one can get a clean run (or jump), and the defenders are consequently thickly-packed as well. Long's attacking back post, at least, though the only thing to come from that today was a collision.
