Easy to look for a scapegoat after just suffering that, but anyone else seen a more staggering decline in a player over 3 months than Bikey?

I didn't think he was that bad today to be honest, and I'm not too worried having him as back-up. He is certainly a lot fatter than he used to be, though, and now that we greet him every week with 'BEEEEEEEEAST!' he seems to think he doesn't really need to bother.

Igor is another player whose decline worries me.

Some were ecstatic he is with us, it does seem incredibly fast, the decline though.

Agree about Igor - another player who has gone missing since Xmas.
Opposition scouts must be saying 'get the ball around Bikey'.

At least in Bikey's case we've got cover but with Igor we've only got Church, who probably deserves to partner Watt ahead of Igor, who rarely troubles defenders these days. The only honorable mention Igor got was for a couple of pieces of good defensive work.

Here, here, it was a good 6 minutes before we had a reason to blame Church.
Totally agree on Bikey, too slow at this level unless he's a totally consistent, Jorge-Costa type tank, which he's not.
But even yesterday was far better than we got for the first 5 months of the season, not going to get too disheartened. The summer really is going to tell us all we need to know about our owners.

Agree with you VR - first priority must surely be strengthening the defence. Wiggins probably needs replacing (Fox is about as convincing as Eddie Izzard in a dress), plus two new centre backs to replace Johnson (really inconsistent) and Bikey. Some will point to Gomez and Ben Haim, but we still need cover in that position.

We will need another Centre half or two. Obileye is doing really well on loan. Lennon is playing well for the U21s as is Terell Thomas. But I still think that we need to go into the market and buy a centre half. Do people think that Roger Johnson deserves a new contract?

With every game, I'm less convinced by Johnson. Never seen a player lose confidence so quickly in a game.

I'd keep him if he's third choice.

Maybe. But if RD carries on taking two steps forward, and two back, will you be posting in twelve months saying summer 2016 will tell us all we need to know?

I already know all I need to know. He has been here a season and a half. If he had any consistent strategy to benefit Charlton we would have seen it by now. Hyenas don't change their spots.

I wouldn't keep Johnson based on what he has produced for us. He has one steady game in three, and his errors have already cost us a number of goals. Rumour has it that he enjoys a libation, and it shows in his game.
