    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/ apr/02/hull-city-tigers-name-change-fa?

... “As I’ve said repeatedly, the owner knew weeks ago that he had the right to challenge the appeal and he wanted to just go quiet on it,” said the Hull manager, Steve Bruce.

“There’s no disputing his views have not changed. That’s the kind of man he is so we have to respect those views. For what he has done for the club – and I say this repeatedly – he’s put it on the map a little bit and he’s put his hard earned money so he’s entitled to have his opinion.

“Now you are going to get some, and we’re all traditionalists, that will be opposed to it but hopefully there is a middle ground where everybody can find a solution. I think at the moment we put it to one side and make sure that Hull City/Hull Tigers are going to be in the Premier League next year and we can have that debate in the summer.” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was exiled, I think (hope). I've think I've always thought he'd keep the loans because he wants his money back. The share price of a small Premier League team would never be enough for him to get his money back.

Yes he is doing some of that but the important question is, can he continue to do so? It would appear from one of Ehab's interviews that we are close to the FFP rules on player's wages. In rough terms that means getting rid of two or maybe three championship players to get one player on mid-table Premier League money. Once our current crop of players runs out that option isn't available. As we strengthen the squad the number of creditors increases as does the amounts. If they are spread over three years some of the credit drops off when we get to the fourth year. We may offset that by selling players. We have a number of players who are reaching the end of the contract. Do they sign a new contract or walk away as free agents. Paul McShane was offered a contract but hasn't signed it yet. He can walk away in the summer. Yes we save his wages but we miss out on the transfer fee. Also its likely that whoever comes in to replace him will be on similar or better wages.

Premier League football is a demanding mistress as we found first time around. You need the players to get the money from the league position to get the players to get you the league position for the next season to get you the players etc, etc. When the money-go-round stops as it did at Aston Villa, your Premier League status comes under threat.

If he acts like an accountant he'll stay living within his means. If he acts like a gambler we'll cross the line and our liabilities will start to increase. No wonder he wants £8 million from the council.

I know that's what I thought yesterday and today. However, the idea has to be a good one, that will bring in money and lots of it. I think Tobes has brought a hint of reality when he talks about his team's far eastern experiences.

He won't spend a penny more than he has to on the stadium. It's another absolute mess of a situation that one. The council don't want it it seems, and Allam won't spend anything on its upkeep unless it has the bonus of pissing a load of people off. The place is gonna be in a right old state before long. I'll keep banging this maintenance drum at the FWG as people have asked me to but like everything it'll just be blocked by the owners.

It's definitely not a sound sustainable business model, but then football clubs rarely are, if we get relegated we'll be in a right mess.

When he goes, he'll want all his cash back, he won't want to risk someone potentially defaulting on the repayments.

Mike White's position at the beeb means he's supposed to remain impartial, right?

    No I don't agree
Things are not black and white and this is not a simple choice between the Allams and HCST (CTWD) and their respective opinions.
You know what can happen when an individual is given overwhelming praise, outright power and a massive grudge to bear?
He has done many good things, but you and no-one else should follow in blind faith, you're treating the man as a Messiah.

The first application was to change the name for 2014-2015 and the name wasn't changed for 2014-2015 so it must have failed.

So who paid for the pitch to be relaid and the under soil heating to be fixed, invested in lamps to help the grass grow and not to mention upgrading the flood lights.

Not seen the SMC accounts but since that money has already been spent don't understand why the tax payers would be footing the bill ?

The SMC borrowed over £6 million from Hull City Tigers Limited. The Council would have to pay that back if they bought the SMC for a quid. Together with the £2 million owing to RBS.
