Yep. It looks like the bottom 4 is coming but we're better than Wakefield and to get relegated we'd need to lose to at least one championship side.
Seems to be a lot of panic on the FC forums so I am guessing some on there are ill informed. If the situation is as you describe, (I have no reason to doubt you) Then FC should stay a Superleague team for the duration. Even if not a very good one. Hull FC are not subsidised by the SMC and would still have a home ground they could afford to play in even if they happened to get relegated. The problem I see for Hull FC is financial viability, at what point does an owner stop throwing good money after bad at a "lost cause". Could anyone see Pearson selling up and cutting his losses? Who would be interested in buying? (apart from the obvious/odious father& son duo) Thoughts, anybody?
Do you have any idea how did this arrangement come to an end? Amicable arrangement? contract bought out? Was it all smiles for the camera with handshakes and hugs all round? You're the only person who seems to have any knowledge of these events, which is why I direct these enquiries toward your good self. If you don't happen to know could you ask your good mate the business genius who CTWD/HCST turn to what he knows about it. Then come back to us with what he would like you to say about it. When you're ready, no rush.
Wont Hull FC just buy another superleague franchise , change their name and rewrite history . . . again
Hull FC would miss the revenue from the derby and also miss out on some Sky revenue, but I would bet a successful table-topping Hull FC in the Championship would get higher gates then they've averaged in the SL in the last 2-3 years.
Allam bumped FC out of the Premier club seats behind dugouts for City games and moved them in to the North West corner where they installed padded seats, FC were forced to pay for them but they include City games which the staff try to flog every match.
The corporate memberships used to be run by the SMC and there was an arrangement where most of money went to City, but a significant slice went to FC. Ahead of this season the SMC's Premier Club was scrapped and a new corporate membership was set up by City, the new organisation had no obligation to pay FC anything.
