    It represents precisely 800 people.

I love the way Hull City Supporters Trust is being lead by Mark Gretton who hails from that renowned Hull district of..................Clitheroe!!

Not to mention the take over a perfectly fine existing trust, that they rolled over then changed the name of.

I'm still laughing at OLM editing his post and my post because he'd accidentally put gob instead of gobby.

Name change apart, as that's only one element, what do you propose to do to find out what fans want? Likewise, what have you done so far to determine what fans want?

Perhaps only players from Hull should represent the City then?

The advantage of being a mod, when auto-correct messes up your post, you can fight back.

I have no problem laughing at myself, as I'm sure you're well aware.

    missed.

before you get on your high horse, my beef is with the whinging arsewipes on here who criticise and pick at anyone who tries to stand up for the fans. i am entirely behind hcst. its detractors should be ashamed of themselves and their twattish attitudes.

some are idiots whose idiocy is to be expected (eg strovolos) but i am massively disappointed in dmd for his incessant caustic and destructive attitude because i thought he was better than that. evidently i was wrong.

Ah, fair play. My ignore list makes havoc with certain threads and it looked like you were responding to OLM.

Hull City does have a wide catchment area, perhaps it includes Clitheroe, next Asia but they won't be real fans?. Why shouldn't somebody outside the area be a Hull City supporter if he moves into the locality?.

We're still in our infancy as a trust, but so far we've come up with a list of short and long term aims on our website, which we see as a starting point for further discussion on what we should be doing.

This is fine for people who are regularly online and follow us on various social media, but misses a great many other fans. To remedy this, we are trying to get our message across via the local media, the HDM(starting today) and via RH. Fans can obviously most easily let us know what they think online, but we've also now added a postal address for those who are more comfortable with putting pen to paper.

We're well aware that we need to prove ourselves and hopefully over time we'll do exactly that, this is a long term exercise and we're very happy with the way things are progressing at the moment.

In an ideal world, the name change nonsense would have been binned a year ago and we'd now be seen as a more inclusive organisation, but regrettably that didn't happen and we've been forced to once again fight for the heritage of the club.

At the end of the day, we'll be judged on our actions and that's as it should be.

You pointed me at this as an answer to a question I asked on another thread. I'm not jumping backwards and forwards, and I appreciate thisvwasn't a direct response, but it doesn't answer any of the questions I asked.

Can you reply on the other thread to keep it together and specific?

If the Trust is open to suggestions i would look at the Man U trusts aims and compare with yours.

hcst objective 2 "We don’t necessarily want a say in every inner working of the club." Do you not think that comes across as arrogant and ridiculous?

    Man U "
    • While we want to see the club pursue these goals, we have neither the desire nor the intention to run the day-to-day affairs of the club. A club like United should be run by professionals whose experience and expertise will ensure its success.
There is a feeling that you all think you can do better at running the club. This makes people suspicious of you and your motives. Is it for the good of Hull city or your own good?

Is this helpful or will it just get shot down?

It's easy to pull out the odd line and try and present it negatively, in reality MUST aims go far further than ours, their main aim is to get rid of the current owners.

HCST does not expect to get any ownership under the current regime, nor does it ever have ambitions of actually running the club, that should always be left to those who are qualified to do so.

Could that wording on our aims be better? Possibly, I'll bring it to the attention of the others.

Straightaway you put down my post instead of taking it on board. Ye at the end you acknowledge it.
You say the trust doesnt have any ambitions to actually run the club, but that is the impression given. I'm sorry but it is. Why not clearly state it isnt.

I wasn't intending to put it down, I was merely pointing out that pulling one line out of an organisations aims doesn't accurately tell the story.

You've obviously read the aims, as you've quoted part of one, but for those who haven't - http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/hcst-vision-aims-and-objectives/

I think it's clear from that there's no intention of actually running the club(something reiterated in the HDM article yesterday), nor is the assertion that we expect to be given shares in the club for nothing accurate, we simply want the fans to have a voice on the board, to address issues that effect them. It's something that as lot of clubs are looking at, it may even be something that comes into legislation, so it's definitely no pipe dream.

    Aim for 2015/16
Aim 3 Acquiring a stake in Hull City and attaining representation on its board in order to exert real supporter influence on the governance of the Club

Sorry but you are either deliberatley misleading as a Trust or its written incredibly poorly and i dont believe that.
