Crikey! Whoever built the impenetrable wall that exists between Patty and intelligence sure did a top job of work.
I think there is a clique in place for such matters, and the clique seems unanimous in the decision that you do not support Hull City AFC.
you have the nerve to talk about MY intelligence when you use the sentence "top job of work"?? is that even english?
There was a decision on last year's application as it hadn't been set aside. So no further application meant no further application. It covered all three possibilities, the FA's decision being upheld, the panel saying yes to Hull Tigers and the panel setting aside the decision and asking for a new application.
So you're sticking to the name calling and online ranting rather than doing anything? Oh I'm sure you're already firing up the angry emails to the FA but are any of you actually prepared to do something tangible and real such as boycotting or buying? No? bunch of jokers.
What's telling in the debate this morning is how obvious some people's desire & passion for Premier League football is greater than their desire & passion for the club. Everybody, on both sides of the argument, believe there is no genuine business reasoning behind changing the name of the club. Everybody is aware that Assem Allam has repeatedly told lies, made threats & gone back on his word. Everybody believes that "Hull Tigers" is a ****ing stupid name. Everybody is aware that Assem Allam's real reason for wanting to change the club's name is solely because of his unhealthy & obsessive hatred of Hull City Council which evolved from him not getting his own way when wanting to purchase the stadium & surrounding land. Everybody knows that remaining in the Premier League is not dependent on us changing our name to "Hull Tigers". Everybody knows that there is no increased sponsorship lying in wait, to be unveiled as soon as the name changes. Everybody knows that "Hull Tigers" will not attract more foreign support. Everybody knows that suggesting Far Eastern football fans will support "Hull Tigers" because they have a "tiger" in their name is patronising, ungracious & somewhat racist. Everybody is well aware that changing the club's name will bring nothing but ridicule to our gates. Everybody knows changing the name will not increase income. Everybody knows that rebranding a business when it's generating more money than at any other time in it's history whilst also in it's most successful period is a ****ing stupid idea. All that's left is for the last few hangers, who know all of the above, to start to accept it. There's no need to worry about what you value most, you can still have your Premier League as Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers.
HDM says "It remains unclear if City will table their original application or submit fresh paperwork, but the decision will again hinge on the vote of the FA Council after consideration from the FA’s Membership Committee. The FA Council rejected a change to Hull Tigers please log in to view this image by 47 to 27 votes last April." If its unclear, no point in arguing the toss about it being an old or new application.
You're an idiot. Assem Allam made that statement to apply to a situation where there was a decision against the name change. The tribunal declared that that decision could not stand. Therefore Assem Allam is not going back on his word. That's an end to it.
I am against the name change and this, apparent, further application. I just want to be able to express that without fear of physical violence. Allam hooligans - kick it out.
I've always been an idiot but he made the statement. No further application will be made. Perhaps you'd like to point out the caveats he introduced when making that statement allowing him to make a further application. I don't recall him saying no further application unless the panel says I must make a new application.
