lol SP.....sadly I think Burnley will go but they have been a breath of fresh air - Leicester have also had their moments....QPR bless the poor sods have just not quite got it right - best of luck to all of them...still think the Championship is my favourite English league though.
Quite agree. I'd love to see Pompey back in the Championship one day but no higher. The Premier League can go F**k itself. I'd prefer to be in a division with real supporters not plastic fair weather glory hunters. League Two and averaging 15,000. That's what I call real supporters
I agree with some of your lower league views BUT how long would you average 15,000 in league 2 ? Not only the longer you stay in the league will your numbers drop but you will find yourself stood in amongst some fans that will just moan all game Oh no that's all football clubs lol
Should anyone feel sorry for any of these clubs is a question I would ask. This is after all a place that rewards failure with a vast sum of money that most of the clubs below them could only dream of having. This makes the competition the following season lopsided in their favour to potentially go back up again. Not saying it provides automatic promotion because it of course doesn't but it is enough money to allow for it. If they yoyo long and often enough they might stay up due to gifted resources. I read a post from a Blackpool supporter on another Argyle chat site telling people they were having one of those fan get together things to protest about their owner who allegedly trousered the parachute payment money and gave nothing to the club. This could be the new gamble of Championship club owners causing mayhem in the future. Staying in the Championship or below might end up being the best option of all and let the premiership kill itself by over indulging. Incidentally I think QPR, Leicester and either Burnley or Sunderland, can't quite decide between the last 2. I'm sure you didn't mean to be patronising in your post above Saint Possum but "I agree with some of your lower league views" might have sounded better if you had said "I agree with some of your views ABOUT the lower leagues" and not sounding like you are looking down upon supporters from a lesser division.
Totally agree to me a supporter is someone who if able can go to the games put money through the turnstiles buys merchandise and puts his hard earned back into the club he supports - those that dust off their club shirts when things are going well and swan around the place just deserve the derision they get on forums such as these as they are only "followers" not "supporters"
