So no trampolines at the minute.

That community should get additional grants for the deprivation. <ok>

They don't want to be letting that grow under their feet.

When did the Nou Camp become the Camp Nou? Pisses me off when someone suddenly decides to change stuff like this. It's like with the Maracana pronunciation, which also changed a few years ago.

If it's the sqme plans as five or so years ago, which it more or less looks like, it's the same old Nou Camp stadium just with a cocoon built around it.

No, it was the Camp Nou from the start as that was its name in Spain. Commentators here started calling it the Nou Camp to fit in with our way of sentence construction.

It didnt, it was always Camp Nou. People just decided to call it Nou Camp cos it fitted better with an English interpretation.

    Ah just saw this.

Right, cheers. I didn't know that.

Something else which has always baffled me is the name of the largest stadium in Rome, the Stadio Olympico; I've always wondered what this means when translated into English <eek>

Spanish is Camp Nou we are just more cultured now.

Couldn't agree more with the pronunciation.
    Nicolas Anelka became Nicola Anelka
    Remy Cabella became Remy Cab-el-lar
The one that annoys me most is Aaron/James McLean being called Mclane they are not from Die Hard, Aaron had even said it is pronounced McLean as in clean.

The other one is Roman Abramovich. Everyone took the piss out of Sleazy David Pleat but apparently he's right with his Ab-ram-oooooo-vich.

Don't even get me started on David Pleat how the hell he is paid to commentate on football I'll never know. A couple from the top of my head I can remember, Andres Ininesta and Terry Shedingham, that and being unable to pronounce any names correctly.

Well as I said, apparently he is correct with his pronunciation of the Chelsea owner and everyone else is wrong.

He is a ****e pundit though.

I've no idea why, but it seems that Turkish side Bursapor plan to make their new stadium look like a giant crocodile...
