Club announces that at this time, the new tier will not be available next year and any supporters who've already bought season tickets for up there will be re-located.

Makes sense right now. Filling the original lower level seats as much as possible from an atmosphere point of view would be better than having an embarrassing few hundred or so spread around that upper section.

33,000 looks a long way off our needs when we're only getting about 13/14K (forget the "official" attendances) for this mid table season.

We'd have had a lot more interest if we were challenging this year, but hey ho, there's always another season eh?

A sensible decision, there's an obvious cost associated with opening the stand that is totally needless.

Easy enough to open it up if we suddenly have an upsurge in fortunes.

When Macheda knocks in 30+ for us next year and we storm to the PL we'll be glad we built it <laugh>

I trust that decision will be flexible should the need arise. <whistle>

Will it be renamed the VT White Elephant?

    Hi Robbie

Long time no see. How are you doing?

I hope things are changing for the better at Cov. At least you are back at the Ricoh. Did you go to games at Northampton? That must have been dire. Consolidate this season and push to get promotion next season? What do you think?

The East Upper was closed for a while at ER for similar reasons I'm afraid to say.

So was part of Southampton's St Marys a few years back when they had similar problems - now look at them.

Hi Andy, sadly things are getting worse than ever. SISU still refusing to invest in the team, the Wasps own the Ricoh and we rent from them, the only good thing is Mowbray taking over as manager. I never went to Northampton but bought a S/T when we moved back but the footy has been so ****e I ripped my tickets up after the draw with Scunthorpe and I haven't been back since.Mowbray only has a contract til the end of the season so who knows what next year will bring.
Other thab that things are good hahaha. Phil is having a good season playing rugby they're unbeaten and have won a Cup and are top of the league, nice bit of success, and i had a hip replacement last July and it's been bloody marvelous no pain anymore.

    Hi Robbie

Sorry to hear things are still not right at Cov - apart from Mowbray. I hope things can pick up and you start to climb the leagues again.

Great news with Phil. I saw his pic as your avatar and guessed he was having a good time egg chasing. Also good news with your hip job. I'm sure you could do a turn for Cov on the wing!!!!

nice 2see the OLD Swansea badge>>>>>why did they change it 2 a black swan I wanna know......

anyway pete I know its nice 2 dream of having the fans 2 fill any extra seats but I think both teams are almost maxed out fan wise, so is there really any point in them(seats) apart from when the big boys come down 2 play.....?........we both know how our stadiums looked before the rise in fortunes....and that was fking empty <ok>

Nearly 32000 people applied for a season ticket last season, whereas we can only sell 16000. There is definitely a need for expansion on our end. We will sell out on season tickets alone if we could. Granted that only applies while we are in the premier league though.

If they are season tickets that have been sold, why would you miss what you have already paid for?

I think the novelty of playing the top teams for ourselves has worn off now. We're going into our fifth season in the premier league and while avoiding relegation is ultimately the priority, we are no longer just here for the ride. We are setting our targets higher. So I can't really see why people would want to purposely miss games they have already paid to see.
