Do I have to come on here every match and remind you which way you should be looking? Look down not up so forget bleddy Burton until the last game of the season to decide who is top second and third. Bury is the next in line and you could do with them losing to Southend not drawing. A draw is only second best choice. A loss for Bury would leave you still 7 points clear which in results terms is 3 games. That's virtually half of the number left. I do a prediction thing on our board and have predicted you winning the last 2 and you have. For the right price I will carry on doing that till the end of the season........offers in a sealed brown envelope please.

Yep but bribery doesn't count or isn't allowed when it's your own side Ron. I'm still open to offers if it helps....

The one thing about this it puts the pressure back on Bury & Southend at this stage of the season I would rather have the points than games in hand

Points in the bag any day of the week at this point in the season. Seven games left and he run in for Bury isn't easy with Southend, Shrewsbury, Newport and Pompey (away) to play. Still a few ups and downs yet but we are finding the wins at the right time and seem to have got over that rocky patch we had a few games back

Probably not relevant to us but, out of interest, if a player is serving suspension and a game during that period is abandoned, does that count as one of the games he has missed? I suspect not.

Wouldn't think so Ron as any goals scored wouldn't count in a players records either.

There you go, a bit of positivity goes a long way. The last few posts is the most upbeat I've read on here for ages. You have the points and they have to catch you. I know which position I would rather be in.

Points in the bag any day it's heaped all the pressure back on bury. 7 points is a massive gap at this stage of the season. Consistency is what's got us this far so I am confident we can continue with our good form and go up automatically.

Burton 1/33 for promotion on Betfair Ex
Shrews 1/14 for promotion on Betfair Ex
Wycombe 1/8 for promotion with Lads

    £330 on Burton wins £10
    £140 on Shrews wins £10
    £16 on Wycombe wins £2
If all 3 get promoted (regardless of how) you make £22
If Wycome fail but the other two make it (almost a certainty) you make £4

    Very generous these bookies/exchange <laugh>

My brother has told me if Bury and Southend both lose once each in the next 4 games and we pick up 10 points in the next 4 we can be promoted against Exeter... at HOME on a TUESDAY night!!!! Wins against Oxford, Chetlenham and Exeter with a point at Burton would see us up if his maths are correct. I am yet to work this out and my maths isn't brilliant. Anyone on here got a maths head?

I don't think that is correct Calzy. If we get 10 points from our next 4 games that will put us on 84 points with 3 games remaining. A win against Exeter would then put us on 87. If Bury lose once in their next 4 and win the other 3 that would put them on 76 points with 4 to play
