Sirius for all. What is the different between sirius and the airco both taxpayer build. Plus how many more teams will lose they pitchs due to the 300k funding being cut.

Seems to me as though Hessle Sporting have their priorities wrong.

They could have quite easily entered into a long-term contract with Sirius to guarantee training facilities instead of
    financing a new club house.

We do not have City & County Councils in this area in anything but name, they would apply to two tier authorities like North Yorkshire

What we have in this area are 4 independent self governing unitary authorities each with the same powers as a county council

They are East Riding of Yorkshire Council (no county council) Hull City Council (no county council), North Lincolnshire Council (no county council) & North East Lincolnshire Council (no county council).....if you want 2 tier authorities there is as mentioned North Yorkshire County Council & Lincolnshire County Council in our immediate area

Possibly they should ask about paying to use North Ferriby 3G pitch....true they would have to pay to do so......it's totally different to being evicted from somewhere you already pay for & have leases in place.

Additionally as also mentioned the Academy is no longer under direct council control & therefore cannot receive additional council subsidy for it's facilities.....blame the introduction of the academy system

The kids need 3g pitchs in the winter another wise they can't train. The council should be building more not cutting the funding for grassroots.

It can't be nice to be turfed out like that.

Interesting to look down as you fly over Spain and see all the local floodlit pitches in every hamlet.

You were lucky you had sisters, we had no sisters, no goal posts, no tea & nobody to cook tea for us if we'd found owt.

Bollocks is what we had to use if we wanted a kick around, no goal posts, just a game of wall ball against corporation garage walls.

You think you had it bad?

We were so poor we didn't have legs, couldn't afford football boots or trainers you see. We just used to throw the ball at each other's faces.

We used to mark the pitch with white dog **** and had to use my Grandad's piss filled colostomy bag as a football/ handball.

    Happy times.

I feel quite sad reading that. You poor legless waifes, neglected and ignored. If I'd known at the time, I'd have dragged you round to play with us.

We didn't play football mind, we were more Japs n Gerries, and you could have joined as sandbags or casualties. <ok>

Take the cuts so far over the last 5 years, double them & spread over the next 5 years......in another 5 years local government budgets will be around 40% of those in 2010
