More of your nonsense; sometimes amusing, sometimes pathetic, but on this thread, just misguided and seedy. A sad use of intelligence.
all airlines are bringing in a minimum of 2 in the cockpit. what is unclear, is the reason why the pilot left.
According to the police, they found something at one of his houses that may shed some light on his decision making processes. Not released any details yet though.
Yet again you make stupid assumptions about things you know **** all about, in this case - me, and my experience of depression.......... What that man did was a deliberate and conscious act - he chose to do away with himself, but he also chose to do so in a way that he KNEW would take a plane load of people with him. His depression doesn't in any way make that action anything other than a selfish, evil act.
I just assumed he left to use the toilet, I doubt it was planned. For all we know he could have been wanting to do it for weeks but the other pilot never left, it just happened that this flight the opportunity arose and he took it. I flew with Lufthansa on Monday and I am again today. Venice to Manchester via Frankfurt... They haven't implemented the two in the cockpit rule yet despite the fact they're the parent company of German wings
It's always the first thought. That and he's 'struggling to come out'. If that's the reason then what a massive ****er.
“The terrible loss of life in the Germanwings plane crash is tragic, and we send our deepest sympathies to the families. Whilst the full facts are still emerging, there has been widespread media reporting speculating about the link with the pilot’s history of depression, which has been overly simplistic. Clearly assessment of all pilots’ physical and mental health is entirely appropriate - but assumptions about risk shouldn't be made across the board for people with depression, or any other illness. There will be pilots with experience of depression who have flown safely for decades and assessments should be made on a case by case basis. Today’s headlines risk adding to the stigma surrounding mental health problems, which millions of people experience each year, and we would encourage the media to report this issue responsibly.” Sue Baker, Director, Time to Change Paul Farmer, Chief Executive, Mind Mark Winstanley, Chief Executive, Rethink Mental Illness http://www.time-to-change.org.uk/news/comment-media-reporting-germanwings-plane-crash
how many times have you seen the pilot queuing outside the toilets? "hurry up I have to land in 10 minutes" the pilots have their own private toilet in the cockpit.
the plane companies should hold psychological evaluations, mind you if they were paid a fair wage, they might not be so pissed off.
It seems that no commercial aircraft have toilets in the cockpit, on long haul flight the closest toilet to the cockpit often has the 'occupied' sign on all the time, in case the pilot needs to use it.
