Take your point, but if Paddy gets injured I, for one, will be screaming for a new goalie. I can't believe how Cerny managed to get out of the way for Leeds' first goal. On the plus side, it is probably further to get round him than ever before!
Sentiment aside,he did and will get turned soo easily in the Prem.He was a bit pants with Bolton and was dropped v quickly as a result.Love the guy,but 3rd choice squad player at best!. Walker and a pacy left back first!. So weve re signed Ramage,Hulse,****tu,Helguson and Cerny...Why dont we just extend Vine,Agymang and the Pelican while we are at it!....Sorry,but we are gonna get absolutely creamed without 4 or 5 quality players....Trying so hard to keep spirits up but after forking out over £600 notes to watch Hulse,Cerny and ****tu.....yeh,Im having a pants day at work!
Always been a fan of Big Dan's, so this is good news...but we need a helluva lot more good news if we're to stay in the Prem...
Have to agree with you Sam. Why did he come back to us on loan, because he wasn't good enough for the premiership and wanted some game time. Appreciate everything he's done for the club but I think this is a backward step. Thought Warnock put him on at the end of the Leeds game as a 'last hurragh' in front of the Rangers fans, very surprised he's been given another contract. Gave him the benefit of the doubt after the play off final, getting 'kippered' twice in extra time the second leading to the goal, for the fact that it was at the end of a very long game, seven/eight years on, two levels higher, I'm sure we could have done better!
Obviously our manager has been informed he must do everything on the cheap otherwise he wouldn't have been signed up. Again, no surprise with this one. We all know the way the Club is being run. The big man can look forward to a season very similar to the last full Prem season he played with Watford. Plenty of heart and effort from the lads but ultimately a futile attempt and relegation without a whimper.
good signing, his no nonsense approach will definetly be useful next year and he might even win goal of the season with a thunderbolt from the halfway line
We've signed Danny sorry i like him qpr legend but what a waste of money better of giving that money towards signing a better defender he is to slow now.
Danny ****tu is a legend. Whilst he may be slow, there's not too many other people you'd bet on before him to get their head on a ball coming into the box. He'll more than play his part unless the cheque book gets opened.
Warnock has obviously seen what shape he has kept himself over the summer and is impressed enough to give him a conract, fair play to Big Dan imo. If he can get himself fully fit and sharp he will defo be an asset next season.
He has PL experience and as Bakes says, if he has kept his fitness up he'll be an asset as a squad player.
I saw his first home game back in the hoops and he was awesome, winning EVERYTHING in the air, at the back and upfront. Subsequently, he looked overweight and cumbersome. I love the guy but, unfortunately, with his size and lack of pace, I think he will get slaughtered in the Premiership. Didn't Millwall let him go in the middle of last season before he came to us? Says everything.
Millwall offered him a contract but he chose to come to us instead. Actually the Wall fans thought he was a good player. Like I said, If he can get up to speed, I believe he could do a decent job for us.
I think Millwall wanted to keep him - and then Morrison ran rings around him at the Den, and Big Dan got sent off - and we didn't see a lot of him in the team after that...so somewhat surprised that NW is going for him...
He'll never get up to speed Bakesy, he's so slow it looks like he's going backwards. None of this bothers me though because I never got my hopes up in the first place.
