Its tough to raise a smile when your trainer has a 14/1 and a 12/1 winner but your fella only comes sixth. He did too much early again today but then travelled like a dream through the race only to find precious little when it mattered. I dont know where we would go now. Tempting to drop back to a mile and let him make the running. I still think hurdling would suit him but I am in the minority there. Our mate the don managed to find the Ask The Guru/ Boxing Shadows forecast so the beers were on him!
Completely agree Stick but save him for the turf and then run him from the front and make the others go after him. I feel he could run a sequence up that way as when he is being held together he fights it. unlucky pal
I see Embankment goes in the next at Kempton. This was flagged up by Stick on its last run when it was fancied by connections. Up in grade this evening but might go one better tonight perhaps ?
Missed the break and too much to make up after that. Backed in from 8s to 5s before the off. If getting away on terms next time there's a winner in waiting.
