Lincoln wrote Whilst I am here, just a small point! You do know that Mr. Allam is not a Doctor of Philosophy, Law or Letters etc don't you? He doesn't hold a PhD. It's a honorary title/gift that is not to be used outside of the context from which it was given. He would never or should never be presented or addressed as Dr. Allam. In any formal gathering or speech, it would be announced that he was given an honorary doctorate as a mark of his public achievements or support for some cause, he would not be called Dr. Allam. Speaking as someone who is completing one and knows how much work it takes, it is really bloody annoying. Nice one Lincoln, I agree entirely. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Asse...l-Uni-degree/story-12946859-detail/story.html
Are you implying, hang on, inferring, hang on, are you calling the daft old sod and his ridiculous son a pair of donkeys, or asses? Be careful or you could get brayed.
AT LAST !!!!! Somebody gets it, this is a real bugbear of mine and it infuriates me when I hear of his insistence at being addressed as Dr and its even worse when the Allam booty kissers such as Peter Levy bow to his wishes, getting Dr in at every possible opportunity.Incedently another honorary recipient on the same day was a certain Mr Stephen Prescott, who would have hated the very thought of being addressed as a Dr
That's the spirit! I like horses. . . . they have stable relationships. A horse walks into a bar. He sits down and the bartender asks him, "Why the long face?" And before I trot off to bed . . A woman goes out shopping with her husband and spots a pair of shoes she likes and must have... .. The husband says, "No ****ing chance love, They're too expensive!" Later on that night in bed, The wife is just falling off to sleep when the husband tries his luck and places his hands on her hips.... She turns to him and says, "No ****ing chance love, If you aren't prepared to shoe the horse then you aren't ****in ridin it!!" I'll get my dressing gown!!
"A football club is about people if you take all the people out of a club you no longer have a club from fans to the players to people who serve cups of tea, Anyone who does not understand this is lost and if they are not careful in the end they may lose the club and more importantly the people in it". - Jamie Waltham (Hull United AFC)
