    Hello all

These will be the arrows that i throw tomorrow:

    Double
    230-Mr Dinossaur
    300-Katgary

410-Miles To Memphis Nap (King rated this one before he flopped on Soft and has this to say)

We have two in the two-mile novice hurdle. Miles to Memphis looked very promising early on, but he lost his way and we gave him a good break. I am keen to run him as he only has a month left as a novice.

520- Java Rose (Longsdon and mares races go hand in hand just look at Saturday) Non Runner

455- Draytonian (useful Pedigree and i have a feeling Stick will like this one :) ) Non Runner
    745-Hanno

    Good luck all

I could go on about TISTORY all day long. And probably have done in the past! His career though has been blighted by injury. Bourn out by the fact that he’s an 8YO but has had, to date, just 5 runs over hurdles and fences. If you’d had told Mr Henderson a couple of years back that Tistory would, today, only be rated 130 I think he’d have choked on his GnT and then ordered a medicinal brandy to cope with the shock as he has always been thought the world of. For one reason or another though it just hasn’t happened for the old boy. Is switched back to hurdles today so as he can have a full season over the big ‘uns as a novice in 2015/16. Deffo has the capabilities to win an event like this by half the track but like so many in the field has a few question marks hanging over his head right now.

I won’t be getting involved in a trappy heat in which, as I say, so many question marks exist and a strong, strong case can be made for at least 5, if not more. Katgary had exceptional juvenile form but has done little since – can he recapture former glories off a lower mark?, Chosen Well is unbeaten this term but what has he beat?, Ugolin De Beaumont looked mega impressive last time, winning by 22 lengths, but again what did he beat?, whilst Megalypos on his penultimate run was placed at Grade 1 level but hasn’t seen the track for over 2 years and ‘Dazzler’ Jacob has turned down the ride to go to Ffos Las instead.

As I say not wagering, as it’s very trappy and so many ifs, maybes and possibilies exist, but my 1-2-3 would be – 1. Tistory, 2. Ugolin De Beaumont, 3. Chosen Well.

The one that I do really like at Newbury today is Mr Henderson’s MIGHT BITE in the card commencer (2.30).

My regular readers will recall that I tipped him on his belated racecourse debut and everything was going well 2 furlongs from home as the old boy was cruising – in fact the Geraghty boy was, at that point, calculating his win percentage and Mr Henderson was heard order a celebratory large GnT. However, due to the heavy ground and weakness Might Bite floundered from then on and managed only 3rd place at the line. Now put over hurdles I would expect this half-brother to dual Grade 1 victor, Beat That, to oblige today before going onto better things. Possibly over fences next term.

The trip of 21 furlongs should hold no fears as Beat That obliged over 3 miles. Now a 6YO it is time for Might Bite to fulfil his promise.

    Good luck all.

Love the name - I've been considering it as the racing name for my puppy ever since he bit my mate Garry in the leg, And he was muzzled at the time! (the dog, not Garry) :)

2 Non runnners which is a shame but I have found 2 more to replace them:

Ffos Las- Paddy the oscar & Rathlin Rose. Both have drifted to appealing odds and worthy of an E/W bet .

Very heavy at Ffos Las chaps. I'd just shut this course now. What a load of ****e it is. Horrible place.

Of interest to me is Katgary in the handicap at 3.05 at Newbury. I wouldn't back it at the current price but he was 9/2 this morning in a few places and that was a fair but not generous price. Basically the rationale is that todays race is no where near as competitive as the Silver Plate at Kempton which is run the day after Cheltenham and is full of horses that were so well handicapped they didn't get into their chosen engagement on the big stage. That's a twenty odd grand race. This is worth a quarter of that. I expect Katgary to hose up. The only one i'd be worried about is Chosen Well because it's opening mark seems reasonably fair based on his run LTO so there may be a fly in the ointment.

Pancake in the next at FL for fun. Running off 132 many many years ago when winning on heavy. Had a nice long break and well out of the handicap. Will be tough going but hey anything can happen. 50/1 lol.

    One for me later lads:

    615 Chelmsford- Admiral Gold

John Best has been in fantastic form since he moved stables and this one hasn't ran since then, i could be miles off of the mark but worth a dabble at 25/1.
