Arsenal, Man City, Sunderland and West Brom all used this money to benefit fans visiting their grounds.
I'd be interested to know if any of these clubs asked a working group of their fans how they would like the money spent, and if they did whether they ignored them.
Arsenal knocked £2.50 off every ticket for every away game this season and gave all travelling fans a £10 food/drink voucher for their Christmas games. Sunderland discounted tickets for their away games at Southampton, Palace and Spurs. West Brom offered free coach travel to a game, along with reciprocal discount ticket details for Newcastle and Swansea, along with a 'kids for a quid' deal at Burnley.
"Hull: Offering free travel to away games, and now have nearly 30 coaches going to Everton (19 October). The club are also offering free travel to Spurs (League and League Cup), Southampton, Arsenal and Swansea, all before the Christmas period. Hull are also considering subsidising match-ticket prices for one of the games." For the 13/14 season I assume. Be interesting to compare how all the clubs spent it for this season. The fund isn't a joke at all. Our owners are a joke; pettily refusing to spend the fan fund on the fans and trying to hide it.
Didn't Ehab say recently that supporters are irrelevant? so no surprises at the way we are treated. We are going to Palarse anyway but only because our sons live in London and so we can get a room and parking for free
Man Utd, Southampton and Burnley are also missing from that list. It also doesn't say which teams spent the money on visiting fans like we have. There needs to be a serious audit to show where exactly this money has been spent.
What on earth made anyone think they would spend this money on you irrelevant lot? If you'd argued with the Council on behalf of AA maybe, but sadly none of you started any campaigns at all encouraging the council to give him the stadium for free It's your own fault
My guess is that the money goes into a central pot at the club rather than a distinct account of its own. That being the case, they can look at expenses, and claim they would have charged more for some events, but subsidised it, therefore the money was used for those things.
Just read on another board that we had reciprocal ticket reductions for our games with Newcastle, Southampton & Stoke Can anyone confirm or deny this as I can't remember if we did
